So there is. Wonder how they got that so fast. Apparently the first in the country.
Looks white against the silver car in the background.

Is it just me but to pay $30,000 more to have the S55 motor seems crazy for the same car..... or am I just a tight arse??

You are getting blinkered because u are comparing a discounted out going model to a new one. Need to compare both release prices which is only 5-10k difference.

I can only speak for myself. Waited close to 2 years for this model when I had negotiated 102k on road with options for the LCI before it was released however opted to wait. I was sorta hoping at the time the B58 was going into the LCI.

I think what clouds your assessment is that you mod your car and hence a tweaked n55 is as good or better than the s55. Some will be in the same boat as u and some will not. For me I had a n55 DCT for 4 years and was not super impressed. Will the s55 be better for me nfi.

I have no doubt that I would choose M2C if both were the same price. cars will always improve for the same $$$ over time, but right now 30k is crazy for the s55 over the N55.
That's why I chose M2 LCI with a couple of simple Mods it's as quick as a stock M2C with better sound and Linear power...
The only downfall with the N55 is that you need to upgrade the turbo for decent power.

Yeah the delta is quite substantial and for some it will make the decision hard. For me it was a no brainer as I wanted the twin turbos vs the single. I would be lying though if it didn't cross my mind.

I'm from the JDM world so I prefer the on boost feeling vs linear power. Part of the reason I sold the supercharger off the 350z and turbocharged it with a built block.

Got quoted $105k rrp, or $120k ish on road drive away. Can’t see the logic behind going from an M2 to M2C - it’d be around a $60k change over if you were to trade in!

Oh course it's not logical to go from M2 to M2c... unless you bought your M2 in the last few months, most paid over 100k for it! Don't think you'll find any way to make that financial change over worth while!

I'd be very surprised if anyone is making that move.

I know a couple who bought at the peak and are swapping to the Comp. Yes it doesn’t make sense financially but $50k to you isn’t the same as $50k to others so good on them I say. I am lucky enough that I didn’t pay the full price for the M2 but at this point unless the value equation is there I wouldn’t bother. It’s not like the M2C is a lot better in every way to the M2. There are areas where the original is better.

I'm really curious to know which is more fun, not faster.

Are there many reviews comparing M2 vs M2c? I always enjoyed the M2 on tests up to 7/10ths but not sure how it goes at track speeds. Over in europe now and booked an M2 for Nurburgring and planned to test this out but unfortunately too many accidents and track closures by the time i took it out. Seat cupra R is a giant killer though!

Btw Way, maybe swap your c63s for the cabriolet if its not your jam. Currently renting one for 2 weeks and perfectly suits the lazy roaring nature of the s63s engine compared to the coupe. Chassis is still rigid enough to tackle the swiss passes then transforms into the perfect cruiser around Lake como. I'd be extremely tempted to buy but reliability has been average. Diff broke in the first one and HUD works intermittently. 7000km on both cars.

You must be in WA because the boat stops there on that day, I Think and then sails over to the eastern seaboard and brings me mine .

I casually walked into my dealership in Vic and bought one on Thursday to be delivered around the end of Sept for ~$93k unregistered (will pay rego on my own in my state) through the BMW corporate program with 5 years of maintenance included... Pretty pleased with the price and the whole experience.

Registered price out the door in Vic would have been $99k. And yes it is possible to get these amazing deals.

Ah cool. Must be a different boat then, mine and a few other peoples are on the Hoegh Shanghai.

If you know your VIN you can track here assuming yours is also shipped via Hoegh. It could be shipped via Wallenius Wilhelmsen as well.

Gday gents, new to the forum and looking to get into a M2C soon, that is a great price I didn't think there would be any discounting at this stage? Dealer I spoke to was quoting $119k drive away!

Shop around, particularly look for a high-volume dealer.

Also if you are a member of a professional association or an employer that has a BMW corporate account that will save you HEAPS.

I got out the door for 99k registered for HS DCT, most every option except the upgraded brakes/sunroof.

These aren't snowflakes, nor are they production limited so the price will come down soon enough.

Could you let us know which dealer you got the car from instead of us calling the 30 dealers to get a good deal?

Was that with a trade in or an outright purchase? That’s one of the best prices I’ve heard so far, nice work!

Probably a trade in. The dealer I went to has his first 9 deliveries sold. My prying eyes happened to see all the prices being paid too. All $119-120k. Mine a bit lower as I got in before prices set.

Please share the dealer. I cannot see why any of them would sell for 99 drive away optioned up. That is below cost for a car that is on backorder. Put up the invoice please
