CS and CS+ map thread

Happy Friday fam,

Those of you on BM3's stg 0 maps,

Are you confident running either on stock CH? Any issues?

How do you like the tune? Any feedback ?

I've run CS, CS+, and stage 1.

The CS map runs super smooth, way smoother than the others. This is due to them making an exact replica of the OEM CS map. Still a noticeable increase in power, but throttle input is wayyyy better and less touchy.

If youre going to run the cs+, just run the stage 1 multimap.
The "CS" map on the multimap is NOT the same map as the non multimap CS map.

Ultimately i keep her on the stage 1 multimap. Stage 1 map is the most fun, i personally run stage 1 91 octane, however i use 93 octane to keep things safe. I click down to the CS "power level" on track days.

Stock CH with CBC.

Thank you, do you happen to know the difference between the CS on the multimap vs the none multimap one?

Are you talking about the M4CS map or the M2CS map?

Stage 1 for street and CS for track.

My overall BM3 setup:
-Stage 1 Map
-Burbles off
-Active Sound off
-Auto rev off (M2 mode only)
-full TC off (M2 mode only)

It's damn near perfect in this configuration and feels much more like a BMW should (and did).

Only if I were to go stage 2, but the CH fix isn't a silver bullet either.

I can flash mine at any time once I decide to go that route. What I'd prefer is to load the factory CS tune not a mimic. Is that available somewhere or does everyone just settle for whatever bm3 did to create a "CS" tune?

From what I understand, BM3 is an exact copy of the CS file.

Yes i already confirmed that with bootmod3

The stage 0+ M2 CS is the exact copy of the oem tune

It's a great tune, no problem putting power down and great power.

The exact copy of the CS flash would leave your car in limp mode for improper flash for the M2C settings. You can put an exact copy of the CS on yours with esys very easily... But the car will be in limp mode.

BM3 CS tune is an M2C tune with the CS settings copied in. While it will make the same power, it's not an exact copy per se. Sure it will be like the CS, but it's not the CS flash.
I know I'm getting technical, but there are differences. One is an M2C tune with CS settings, and the other is the M2CS flash. They report differently too.

I guess you are right but in the end you get the power and drivability of a m2 cs in a m2c

Yes, agreed.

It was the first tune I made for mine. It feels good, but I was itching for more.

What are you running now ?

I'm still hesitant to do the bm3 cs+

It's the max I'll go without having crank upgrade or traction issues

I'm not sure what the equivalent would be in BM3 terms, but after CS levels I went to M4 GTS level (495hp at crank) and then later to about 10-15% over that. I'm writing my own tunes from scratch.
I stopped at around 490-495whp and 470-480wtq (on a dyno that dynoed 403whp and 415wtq stock), for traction reasons and maybe (?) for crank hub. I'm not nearly as concerned about the crank hub. There's a lot more to it than tuned vs. non-tuned. The M4 GTS uses the same crank hub too.
I am putting on a capture plate soon, and intentionally keeping torque down to a reasonable level.
There's an easy 10% hp left in there, but I'm not interested in more at the moment.
