641M winter wheel and tire set installed!
Hey guys, I ordered the 641m winter wheel and tire set from my local dealer, and had them installed this morning. I love the way the wheels look! Wanted to share here in case any of y'all are considering ordering these.
They come in a staggered setup with Pirelli Sottazero 3 tires. Dealer only charged about $50 bucks to mount them, and we were able to fit all 4 of my stock wheels in the car for the trip home! I also got the M Performance wheel bags for garage decor. Very happy with the purchase!

did you purchase them through the same dealer from whom you purchased the car? get any sort of deal on pricing?
i'm going back and forth on a dealer package like this vs. used 437M...or some edelweiss LT5s.

I purchased them through a different dealer than the one from which I purchased my car. I didn't receive any special pricing, but for whatever reason this wheel tire package is about $600 cheaper than the one from last year (~$3500 vs $4100), so expecting to pay over 4 grand and coming out in the 3500 range was nice.

I am in Asheville right now, a bit early for winters I think, its been so nice out here.
I am going to install mine soon, upstate NY. Usually wait until its consistently under 50 during the day. I want to get a few more weeks of my EC7s since I basically got em a month ago, but also excited to install the 641M because they are really good looking wheels. I have a black car so I got the silver ones. You can see it on the right side leaning on that chair. I cheaped out on the wheel bags though, just got some of amazon for $50. |

I love them. And they are a matte black finish, if that affects your decision.

Yep all 4 tires are 235/35/19. The wheels are staggered, I believe at 8.5" in the front, and 9" rear.

They do look better than the 788s (IMO), but they are not available in the same widths, as far as I know. I have the same wheels ready to install for winter and they are staggered 8.5' and 9" widths, like the OP stated.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but won't these fit on an '18 M2 as well? I much prefer these to the 640M package (18" with staggered Michelin PA4s) being offered by my local dealership.

They will fit fine but for a winter set 18 makes a ton of sense. I have had both 640m and now 641m and they have identical profiles. Just diameter is different.

That's likely irrelevant for daily driving or how you would in the snow.
The width of the tire is important, the thinner the better for snow and aquaplanning (on the dry however much worse). You need a tire that provides you good grip on the snow, and the same tire will have very very identical grip being 18 or 19". I have used the PA4 in 19" (245/265) and drove all the way to the top of the Alps. I can't imagine someone needs more grip than that ever. |
