I don't have the back catalog of precious metal or boosted to 11/10ths motors that a lot of folks here have had, but really you'd have to be pretty jaded to not think that the...
[Chris]Engine. Pulls like a horse.[/Harris] After doing my coastal breakin drive and otherwise not wanting to pitch it into a redwood or out to sea, finally got around to WOTing up 7.5k and I certainly don't need anything faster. As others have said, it doesn't handle bad roads at speed well, but anything semi-smooth or better and progress sure is brisk. A 5:30am Sunday morning drive to the golf course gave me a few good opportunities to stretch its legs and I definitely had more time than usual to roll a few putts before starting. Getting closer to sorting out the seating position, but I really keep fiddling and going one-step forward two back... then two forward and one back Literally and figuratively. Posted this in a different thread (https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...9#post27877489) but thought to ask new owners who may have more recent experience. Picked up my M2C a couple of days ago and noticed that the front suspension seems really high (644.5 mm from bottom of wheel to bottom of fender as opposed to 620 mm, which seems to be standard according to that thread). Is this normal for a new car and the suspension just needs to settle (only driven 50 miles)? Any other new owners who noticed this? Wondering if it could be shipping blocks too. Thanks for any insight!

Clearly not right. I think one can see the shipping blocks, no?

Thanks guys. My SA said it definitely could be the shipping blocks. He said they had a new guy doing PDI, so he's checking with him to confirm. Hopefully that's the case.

Thanks! I missed the back driving experience between the two. In order to lock in my trade in value I traded my m240i the same night that I order my M2C.

Well I've had my M2 for month and a couple days now; it already has over 3300 miles on it and I work from home....
I'll let those facts do all the talking for me on whether or not I enjoy my M2

Loving it!
Coming from an f82 m4 LCI…I can objectively say that the f87 chassis is much more driver focused. Just picked up my hockenheim 4 weeks ago and loving it!

In the States I live in a big complex, about 50yds away from the car and cannot see it, but while I am back up in Canada, I can now be one of those saddos who can randomly look out at the car while working, getting coffee, watching tele, just making sure it's still there... normal, totally normal

I picked mine up a little over a week ago and have about 450 mi so far. Love just about everything with the car and it seems to do everything better than my previous modded BRZ did.
My only complaints: - No android auto. I mean really why? I would even be willing to pay for it, but there isn't an OE or aftermarket solution it seems. - Because there is no AA, I use the built in Nav. As far as navigating, it works fine. But I can't ever get it to actually find the destination I want to go. - Needs a little bit louder exhaust for me so I'll probably do the M or another aftermarket at some point. - I can't figure out how to shift smoothly from 1st to 2nd without short shifting at like 2500 rpm. - Brake dust... my god... my previous car on track pads seemed like it had less dust. |
