I was curious what the mount point in the rear was as it seems to go to the floor or attach right to the rear of the car. They don't have any photos of the mounting. I also was questioning the strength of the square design for the rear section. Great visibility sure, but feel like it's less overall strength should something happen. I do like they have a seat delete kit to go with it.

I was looking at some of the other international ones and in terms of cost it's likely a wash for a few of these options once I get one into Canada (with duties for non-US origins).

On a separate but related note, does anyone have a source for Sparco QRT seats right now? They have all vanished!
Strange - I didnt use their email but called them with my questions and the guy on the phone answered them.

i went with the apmotorsport clubsport cage. it was only 2800 usd to my door(paint included). it goes in similarly to the fall-line. the fit and finish is amazing! no pics yet(they have some on their site), as i was waiting to get my interior back in. but I haven't managed to get the panels back in with the cage in the way lol

Post some pics when it's all done! Does theirs bolt to the seat bench or the floor?

The rear of this bar doesn't look like it attaches to anything significant? Other than that, I like the structure of the bar itself.

*edit* - this is actually the same bar as the RossSport bar. This rear shot is the same car as on the RossSport site. I was considering the RossSport bar but they didn't really show the rear shot like this. Not sure if I'm ok with that mount point.

i had similar doubts at first, so i talked with a cage fabricator. He inspected it, told me it was good and would definitely do it's job in the event of a rollover. there is a metal brace on each side from the factory, too, so the cage goes there and puts a bar across.

I'm confident in it. however, that is me. if you arent comfortable with the mount points, there are a few other options to consider.

I just took out my interior today and I see the brace and feel a bit better about it. I'm going to contact Ross (Ross himself was out this week) and see what it will cost to ship here.

Just a FYI all.

My cage arrived today from Australia.

I ordered it on July 2nd.

I'll post more when its installed next week with my QRT-C's and Flexi 2x2 Schroth belts...

If anyone is interested in the Ross Motorsport 4pt rollbar, I ordered one but cancelled because the quoted lead time was too long. Turns out it already has gone into fabrication. I ordered a CMS rollbar which is arriving today so this one is up for grabs. It was $2800 CAD for me after conversion so it'll be way cheaper in USD.

It's basically the same style as the AMI rollbar listed above. If you're looking for one this is a great option and given it went into fabrication already lead time should be minimal. I requested a dark grey powder coat (but at this stage you likely could change to whatever RAL color you want)

https://www.rosssport.com/Brands/ROS...Rear-Roll-Cage

If you're interested, I can give you Ross's email and my order number. You can take over the order.

I also went with the CMS roll bar. I don't want to put in racing seats and want the rear seat delete option, and saved about $120 ordering the harnesses at the same time. Plus I really like that CMS matches their powder coating to whatever color you want (I ordered the roll bar in Long Beach Blue). And they say they use stronger steel than other roll bars

I also like that there's no drilling or cutting for the install. I think they're back-ordered on the seat deletes, but I'm in no hurry. Will post pics when I get everything installed.

Same here, the guy I talked to at CMS was really knowledgeable about mounting points, the materials they use, why it's designed how it is, etc.

I absolutely didn't want the X-brace in the back supports like the RSR roll bar, visibility would be horrible I think. CMS made a good point, the steel they use is a lot stronger than the steel the RSR bar is made from, compensating (at least in part) for the lack of the X-brace in the back.

FWIW.

I was super surprised that my order literally went out the next day. Up to that point they had a 2 week lead time so I was expecting to wait but with months of delays getting other parts, this was a nice surprise.

I am very curious how it installs. You say no drilling so that is interesting to me but I'll know soon enough.

I asked about getting it in hockenheim silver but he wasn't sure if they had that powder coat yet so I just went basic satin black.

Well,

Life is full of ups and downs.

I'm not going to be able to install the 4 Pt cage.... So I'm looking to sell it ASAP.

Its still in its shipping materials and I will part with it for a discount of course.

MY loss, someone else's gain!

PM if you or anyone else you know is interested in it.

I'm located North of Boston, MA.

PS. I might be selling my Sparco QRT-C's as well along with the complete mounting slider kits I have. These seats are also still in their shipping materials...

THX!

Car has been in a major accident.

I'm going to return the seats soon if no one bites on them.
