The hail mary allocation I snagged on June 4th went 150 this morning and I have a VIN!

When did you move to 'Production Begins'?
Typically - add 2 weeks to that date and that's when it should kick off proper.

Nearly two weeks ago with a 6/9 genius phone line build date.

Looks like you've got potential to be on a vessel for the 18th, 21st, or 24th, so not too long sitting at the port if things go OK.
All things being equal, I'm hoping to be on one the 10th or 11th.

I haven't learned how track the boat part yet and I'm assuming we're within 50 miles of each other. Do you know which one I might make it on?

It's pretty hilarious that we are hoping to track the vessel...non car people would think we have gone absolutely bonkers

Holy hell. I finally moved to 150. Never thought it would come. I'm a rare bird as I needed it to take as long as possible and I'm going to do PCD just so it takes longer. Moving and no garage as I'm at a temporary house while I wait for my relocation assignment with my new job to come through. Stressful times yet exciting….

My M2C shipped from Bremerhaven on June 5 and will arrive Baltimore June 14 on the Hoegh Trotter - not one of the usual lines BMW uses. I did not actually know the name of the ship until I saw "in transit" listed as my production status and then called BMW Genius to ask what ship it was on. It took them a couple of minutes to look up the information and arrival date, but once I had that I went to fleetmon.com, signed up for a free account, and have been able to track it from Bremerhaven on. Right now, it's right in the middle of the Atlantic!

i'm guessing you'll have some flexibility on PCD scheduling, especially if you want to push it later. i was trying to thread the needle between two other weeks of travel...and it luckily worked out!

Interesting. I guess you East Coast guys have more options seeing it's a shorter, more heavily traveled route. Not enough you have 1/2 the sailing time as us West Coasters ;-)

My week 23 is on the assembly line today. Just noticed it says "M Sport Brakes with Blue Calip" on the Standard Features list. Is that a normal thing and I will get the silver calipers?

Correct, USDM cars will have silver calipers but list blue ones.

I am at the same stage but Genius is still saying production is complete by June 11th? So a lot has to happen today and tomorrow for that to be true

mine went from "entering the assembly line" all the way through "quality check" in one day. the next day it was already "awaiting carrier assignment".

things move really quickly once you get in the assembly line.
