Old roof is off and new one is back on. Just waiting for a piece of interior trim to get installed and she'll be ready to take home.

Looks like an expensive job if you ever had to do it out of warranty. Are they re-using your same windshield/rear glass, or is BMW paying to replace those as well?

New Carbon Fibre Roof

G’day g.lor
Interested to see if you have any more photos of the repair .

It looks like they are doing good and thorough job .

Interesting to see what the metal frame of the roof looks like after removal of the carbon fibre roof .

All the best .

Cheers
Bruce

I'm happy you're putting this behind you and hopefully you can enjoy the car now.

I would double-check the seals when they put the windshields back on so you're not seeing excessive glue from the inside, have them use foam dams.

As long as they get it right aesthetically, she'll be back to new.

Great pics . . . documentation of the absence of structural steel or aluminum under the CF roof. I hope everything goes back together perfectly!

I am wondering if that CS roof would be able to be installed aftermarket to the Comp. The roofs now being offered for the Comp have these roofrail plastic covers that are mounted inside the CF roof, whereas this CS one is more or less flush against the body works, which to me provides a cleaner look. Curious.

Hi All
Could the Mods please post where has the recent CFRP posts gone ; and why was it removed from the specific CS forum ?

I can only see the older posts on the forum .

I’ve personally had no issues but I know their has been a small percentage who have .

Thanks
