Post Do M Performance Coilovers affect rego/insurance?

I am looking at finally pulling the trigger on an M2C with MP Coilovers. RMS seem fine with them but insurance has issue with car being "modified". Has anyone got any experience with this?

There's quite a number of insurers who won't touch modified vehicles, and yes they would consider that modified. Some people don't tell, but run a risk of not being insured.
There are insurers that will cover modifications though.
GIO (some exclusions like aftermarket turbos/roll cages etc)
Shannon's
Enthusiast (I think)

There are other too, just not off the top of my head.

That said, explaining it is a BMW part "might" declassify it as modified in a case by case basis, but get it in writing.

I’d love to know a insurance company or inspector who would be able to pin point that BMWs M coil overs are “modified” versus stock after a crash or incident. The only way you will get screed with insurance on this one is by telling them about it.

Shoot, shovel, and shut up ( I don’t think this is a common phrase outside of where I live lol ).

I can't find the image but there is a sticker they put inside drivers door with a big warning.

these are stock items sold by BMW and fitted by BMW. I purchased mine and it was fitted by BMW at the time of purchase. As far as they are concerned these are factory fitted on the cars and there fore warrantable and insurable
