Evan@Tischer As I understand it, these are PN 18302468411, correct? They are designed for all F8X stock exhausts?

I have a question re PN 18302456072, which is the carbon tip for the M2C/M5 MPE and different than the carbon tips for the OG M2 and F80/2/3 MPE system. My understanding is that those MPEs use 67MM inlet, and stock uses 70MM. What I don't know is what the M2C/M5 MPE system uses. From some poking around on the M5 forums, it seems it may be the 70MM number.

I ask because 18302456072 appears slightly longer in pictures and has a longer carbon sheath. This would mean that if it fit the stock pipes on the M2C it wouldn't look as awkward as 18302468411 does from the side angle because you can see where the carbon ends as the tips are closer to the outside edge of the car. They may also stick out the back a tad further and not be so tucked under the diffuser. None of this applies to the F80/2/3 because the tips are more enclosed.

Any way you have 18302456072 sitting around and can measure inlet diameter and overall length? I'm hoping this is an unadvertised lucky mod. Thx!

Correct - these are 18-30-2-468-411, for all F8x with factory exhaust.

I grabbed one of these along with the 18-30-2-456-072...

The 411 is 5 1/8" in length, while the 072 is a little shorter at 4 7/8".

Tough to get an actual measurement on the inlet of the 411 as it is recessed inside the carbon fiber portion, but the 072 inlet is just at 2.5" from what I could tell, and the clamping portion with tightening bolt sits just outside that.

The 411 looks very similar, but really hard to say if this would work - you're certainly welcome to give it a shot. You're welcome to return them if you find they're not going to work for your needs. Hope this helps!

Evan@Tischer Thanks so much! Except now I'm more confused because the ones you have for the 411 look more like the MPE specific tips with number 18302358110?

I thought the 411 was short like this with the two semicircular notches for the factory pin?

Nevertheless, it does seem like the 072 might be too narrow. I'm trying to estimate the gap between the inner side and the clamping side.

So is the OD on these tips smaller than the 90mm tips that come on the MPE? If so, what's the OD on these?

Update... Evan@Tischer I think I just realized that the 072 tips might also be difficult because of where the clamp is...they'd be hitting the factory pin on one side (passenger) and not on the other side. Hence they'd have to sit out just a fraction of an inch. Overall, the tip would probably sit out 4.5 inches from the clamp, putting it about .75 inches further out than stock, which are 3.75 inches from pin to top edge.

VisualEcho I think they are all just about 90MM outlet diameter (at the carbon).

Yeah the outer carbon diameter appears to be the same for both - looks like 3 5/8" per my old wooden ruler.
