Hoping someone out there can help with this one.

I've ripped my entire CD collection at full CD resolution as flac files. I used a registered version of CD Express Rip. I have also bought/downloaded a bunch of CD resolution and HIGH-RES (24 bit) files.

All of the flac files I've downloaded play from USB stick.

NONE of the ripped files play (so far - obviously I haven't listened to 10K+ songs. LOL)

I've checked file properties - all of them - comparing to songs I know play fine with those that don't. The only difference I can see is the copyright on the ripped songs is missing.

FLAC is supposed to "ignore" DRM, but wondering if this is the issue? Would totally suck if I have to re-rip all of my CD's again.
