Does anyone know where I can find a good pair of carbon M3 style mirror caps for my M2?

Fuck it, went for a white M2C.
Think this time around will only get BMS Exhaust Tips and avoid aftermarket exhaust. Drone is actually a huge deal breaker in my opinion. Completely kills the ride quality when you're just daily driving. Not too sure I'll do many mods on it either. What I've learned from my 1st gen M2 is that all that extra aftermarket shit looses almost all of it's value when re-selling the car. Also without any thought went for the automatic transmission. Manual is purist and great when done right but the Manual in the 1st gen M2 is actually really subpar. Rubbery, long throws and rev-match. Really far away from what a purist manual enthusiast desires. Last edited by Dav3; 02-15-2019 at 06:50 PM.. |

Just had my first ride in a 2019 Tesla Model 3 long range awd version.. All I can say is jaw dropping... The torque that thing makes is just insane. I dont think Ive ever felt pushed back into the seat like that in all my years of motoring. This car is no joke. And this wasnt even the performance edition. But it does have 2 motors driving the 4 wheels. HP is rated at 356, and I couldnt find any trq figures, but from dyno runs Ive seen, its somewhere in the mid 400s approaching 500 ft lbs.

But remove the drag race joy ride and what are you really left with? Maybe Auto-Pilot when it doesn't kill you but the rest is subpar |

Youre kidding, right? Autopilot has proven safer than human drivers. This car is a tech and automotive tour de force. I was never a fan until my friend got one and I got to feel it, and to see all it can do technically.

akkando Not a fan of it's interior for starters. Oversized iPad glued to the dashboard is cool the first time you see it but works as a major distraction and is an eyesore in the long-run. Can't say I was overly impressed with overall feel and handling too. It's a step in the right direction but I'm more interested in the German electrical counter-parts coming these next few years.

The $35k base Model 3 is now being offered. They will soon be as common as a Camry. Consumer Reports took them off of their recommended list as well because of reliability issues. I'll wait and see what the electric German cars bring to the table.

As for handling, its got track chops also, beating the following around Willow Springs Raceway: "What no one is quite saying out loud, though, is that a 1:21.49 snips a lifetime-like 1.29 seconds from Randy's recent lap in the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. The new time essentially matches a 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 and even beats a former Best Driver's Car winner, the 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia (1:22.30). Until the new BMW M3 shows up, that perches the Model 3 atop the podium as the world's quickest sport sedan—at least around this track." https://www.motortrend.com/cars/tesl...ersion-review/

Interesting comment. I too have several monitors I work at all day and hadn't considered the next gen cars (even some current) will all effectively have large monitors or displays. One of the reasons I really want to get a F82 M4CS as I love the analog gauge cluster over the G20 3 series screen version. Somehow the analog clusters just have a more connected feel to them than most of the digital options out there. Kinda like dialing a rotary telephone vs a smartphone |
