AUTO BILD vermutet, dass der Einstiegspreis unter 70.000 Euro liegen wird. Marktstart: Spätsommer 2018.

70,000 Euro = 85,000 USD but they say below...how much lower I don't know.

I can't believe some people still think this will cost more than an M4 (base vs base). I'm just speechless lol.

Garage List
2020 M2 Competition  [10.00]
2007 E86 M coupe  [8.38]
2002 E39 M5  [9.00]
And we're off! Very nice overall. The seats look good with the alcantara outer sections and contrast stitching/perforations. The only thing I find cheesy is the rear "competition" badge, which can be taken care of with some fishing line and Goo-Gone.

Well done.

Am I the only one that wishes the entire seat was leather? Fabrics are nice and grippy but for a daily driver I like the clean-ability of leather.

The original M2 is a proper M car.

What you just said is like me saying "The M5 isn't a proper M car since it weighs like a boat." It's underrating a car and not giving the car the deserved respect.

The M2 Competition is a faster M car, sure. But not any more "proper of an M car' than the M2.
tbh i only said that because n55 m2 guys will now try to defend their purchase lol like us spec e36 m3 guys. but there is a degree of truth to it. the m2 was missing m seats and m specific engine. what i mena with that is it was missing that final touch of what makes and m car special. original m2 is fantastic car overall im not hating just fun to say shit like that. just like how in a few years on used market people will say why buy f10 m5 when f90 is basically the same thing but better.

unless you track it often and care about lap times i dont see the point of giving up your f80 for m2 comp. f80 looks alot better and is more practical daily imo not worth losing money that switch.

I doubt there will be fewer N55's, and even if there are, they won't be the one's most people want.
Comp gets July 18 to July 20 right? Something like that? N55 had 3 Model years but the 16 model year didn't last very long, they hit April right? so They went from like April 16 to July 16 for MY16? And production I think was lower in the early M2 days. So it may be that the factory can or is slated to produce more M2C cars in it's first years than the M2 in its first year (365 days).

I used to bash the M2 all the time for not being "proper" but .. well now I own one so you can imagine how that went. The shame of BMW M and this forum as well is that the M2 is so downplayed on the marketing front. N55 but it's worked over. Suspension is underrated, etc. There were a few dumb things like the mirrors and seats but otherwise yep.. it's an M car.

They are on the steering wheel, hard to make out in the pics but they are on the left hand side.
