It is possible that they didn't get one. There is a guy posting in the M2 Competition thread that can log into the BMW network and see if your dealership received an allocation.

I have a decision to make.

Take a M2c build that goes into production Sep 24th for USA delivery or wait for next allocation and be able to do European Delivery?

What to do? What to do??

Looks like most people are ordering either HS or LBB.

Nobody's getting SO?

(I ordered white myself)

Was updated on my build. Looks like week 41 for me.

The same week the lease on my car matures.

edit 2: see below.
Thanks for this, I was able to send it to my SA and he was then able to reach out to BMW directly. Apparently the Ordering/Modifications screens are not fully updated for everyone which is why it was not showing. BMW NA acknowledge this was an issue and sent a request to HQ to get it fixed.

When do we get our VIN? Is right days before the SOP, during or way before SOP?

As far as I remember, my CA provided me the VIN of my M4 right after it left the production line.

Hi, this is my first posting here (thank you for the tremendous help you guys gave me through this forum!)

HS, DCT, Executive, Black 788M, Blue stitching

Confirmed allocation slot received on: June 18, 2018
Build Week: 29
Dealership name and/or Location: CT

MSRP - $200* - any fleet discount available

*Not sure whether I can say I technically got the $200 discount though. The dealership tried to charge me 499 doc fee, and I insisted I would not pay more than 300. The SA said, "okay but the doc fee has to be 499 under their "policy," therefore we will give you 200 discount from the MSRP." Interesting logic, but whatever, it is minor.

This could be wrong but I've read that some states require dealerships to charge everyone the same dealer fee (to prevent discrimination?), so they can't negotiate that fee directly. Of course that just leads to loopholes like $200 off MSRP instead.

I don't know whether it is the case in Connecticut, but yes I agree that it could be a loophole, tiny loophole.

I'm sure this was answered before but to confirm.
According to this: (from here)
-Build start (150) to build finish (155): 1-2 weeks.
-Build finish (155) to Scheduled for Carrier (182): 1 day.
-Status 182 to 190 (on a train to bremerhaven):1-3 days.
-Status 190 to 193 (at port awaiting a ship): 1-2 days.
-Status 193 to 195 (on a ship): 3-5 days for east coast delivery, 5-12 days for west coast delivery (more detail on this later)
-Shipping time from Bremerhaven to East Coast: 12-17 days depending on the number of stops.
-Shipping time from Bremerhaven to West Coast: About 30 days.
-Offload at port: 1 day
-Processing through customs: 1-2 days
-Process through BMW Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) and onto a carrier: 2-5 days.
-Shipping time on carrier to Dealership: 1-4 days.

The time from the build date to delivery is like a month or so?
so for example build week 28, you're looking at (east coat) delivery in week 32/33 (Mid August)

Well, looks like we too have jumped on the bandwagon, with the kind stewardship of a store in NH that has posted to this thread (and others I'm sure). We just received the production number (39334XX) and a (European) delivery date of 17-Sept-2018.

I'm hoping to figure out how to use the status thing/website that apparently allows one to track the car's progress sort of like the Domino's Pizza app. I'm also hoping that the BMW Euro Delivery (don't want to use 'ED' given other connotations at my age) will be a truly upscale experience, albeit more expensive and slower (than said pizza).

We spec'd ours in a minimalist config, given how much my wife LOVED her 1M (Valencia Orange, Boston Leather, heated seats, and nothing else but standard). So, it's going to be Hockenheim Silver, orange stitching (in tribute to the 1M), 6MT, and everything else just the base equipment, including the Bi-Color wheels.

On the other hand, as we wend our away around after picking up the car at the Welt, I'm pondering whether to head north west to Moton/AST to contemplate suspension softening, and/or Canyon Bicycles in Koblenz to pick up one of their 'outlet' bikes... or maybe go see the Matterhorn sans Tinkerbell.

In the meantime, I'll be searching for tips/stories about where to stay and go while experiencing the Welt, etc.

Still wrangling that from the dealer along with production number details and the rest. I have opted for European delivery and in a quick phone call I had with the rep they said build was in for October. That works perfectly since I'm in London early-mid October and plan to jump down to Munich to collect the car and have some fun.

Plus gives me an opportunity to head back to the Nurburgring. Won't be taking my car on there but instead rent a car from a local race team.
