New Turbo Coming Soon - N55 Pure 800
This was a bit random. I was doing some turbo research, and a thread from a couple months ago was talking about pure teasing a new turbo option for N55.
I decided to check their instagram, and found this, posted 1 minute ago: https://www.instagram.com/p/CJto-SMJhaw Excerpt from above: Quote:

800HP seems like crank numbers so 700WHP sounds about right.
The N55-B30T0 in our M2's are beefy. 650-700WHP is about as far as you can probably comfortably push the motor as a daily before you have to build the motor. 600+ will require a stage 3 HPFP/DI set-up or a custom port-injection/water-meth injection set-up on a conservative tune. So someone on just a stage 2 HPFP right now won't get the most out of this bigger turbo set-up. You can come close by running race gas on the stage 2 HPFPs, but that's expensive if you want a super juiced up daily. Besides fueling, you may also need an upgraded clutch unless you limit torque, which is just a tease. The need for ancillary upgrades after a stage 2 turbo quickly snowballs. I'm curious how this spools compares to their Stage 2 turbo.

Great to see more options!
Now time to create S55 dual HPFP setups with aftermarket pumps to support all this power.

I believe TTFS does. $5K, but not much data or user experience on it online. Would need a custom tune for sure.

S55 upgrades yes, but no dual pump retrofits. That's ttfs.

The pure 800 is not new in general. They just didn't have a pure 800 for the n55. The vids you linked are for other engines or a different pure turbo.

I think we all know that getting this turbo and cranking the tune up to 11 on stock internals will likely result in a bad day.
What I'm curious is, how well this turbo will perform with a modest tune. Maybe someone with more turbo knowledge than myself can chime in. For me, I'm looking for sub-600 WHP, that's reliable on track, and not have excessive turbo lag. Is this the magic bullet? Additionally, does anyone wanna guess how much this thing will cost? The B58 version is around $2500 plus core. Being this this is a brand new (no core) turbo, I'm guessing we're looking at close to 4000. |

In regards to this turbo you will probably get alot of lag. For track reliability you're looking at cooling and not if the engine can hold up to huge power. Yes I think it will be in the $4k range too, especially since no core deposit is required.

Yes fuelling/supporting mods before power is an excellent idea and an idea I wish more people would do first before power mods.

Waiting on BM3 flex fuel, but do have plans of moving to Ecutek by the end of the year to support some additional mods that are not yet released. |

I agree with the above user about the turbo. I'm right where you are, or just a bit past you, when it comes to being ready for a bigger turbo. I've spoken to several of the m2 owners making big power and a few tuners now. If you drive this on the street, you're going to want a faster spool than this turbo will most likely offer. I've been told that with e30 and a stage 2 turbo, you can make mid 500 whp. That same forum member told me to consider the dinan turbo as it only made about 20 whp less than a ps2. I've also spoken to one of the forum members who sold his car off in California. He had the AA dev car which had a big boost turbo 3.4 kit. He said it felt overpowered for the chassis and if he were in my shoes he'd want the car in the 500 whp range. I'm with you on chasing big hp numbers but I think the best option is to grab a good stage 2 turbo and some meaty tires and enjoy our little beasts. With all that said, installation cost is the same no matter which turbo you go with so you better make sure it's the best one for you!

Interested in the pricing on this.
I’m not sure if they’ve revised the ps2 as they seem to be making pretty decent power. 540whp on e30 and another car making 570whp on e85. https://www.instagram.com/p/CJcsjFyJ...=1o1y0nay0lm5g |
