Not a terrible back up...but I really like your reasoning on pushing back and back.

This is great news, happy to see things are moving along for you.
No change on my end, day 30 stuck at the port and counting.
Raven is not able to get any info from her AG colleagues.
Now it seems even more reasonable that the delay has to do with the fact the car was sent to Munich first and then diverted to port.

If BMW is pushing into late October, aren't we getting very close to the snow tire requirement? When does that usually happen?

Yup...going to ask her for the tire place to see if they stock winter or AS tires that can do what I want!

I just confirmed with BMW Genius, it is on Victoria Highway. Scheduled to arrive in Baltimore on Sept 13th. If we had kept our ED, my daughter and I were scheduled to fly out tomorrow to Munch.

there is not a set date to put on snow tires. its when the average temperature is 0C. sometimes this is in December, sometimes its as early as Oct 15th. You can rent wheels/tires but I suggest waiting and see what the weather is like if you can go. really doubtful germany will open back up though. pretty sure it will go the opposite way with flu season.

I just called BMW Genius, was told to contact my CA....Pretty useless, considering the fact that CA himself suggested to call Genius....In short, they are all clueless, and the reason for delay could be anything from cargo scheduling issues to car damage. Nobody knows. Apparently they may know more next week...

Assume you're now US delivery on that G80?

Bummer to hear you are having so many issues. Hopefully they resolve things soon.

If things had gone according to plan, my daughter and I would be on a United flight right now headed to Munich for pick up at the Welt on Monday. Instead my M2C is on the ship, headed to me.

I'm not sure I can handle more decisions like this for this car! It doesn't feel like another month will make a difference with travel restrictions. If it does dealing with Oct/Nov weather and pass closures would certainly change the trip plans. Yet I'm not sure I can give up given how much I've been through already for it.

I'm in the same boat. And if we want to do PCD, the timeframe will be pushed well into late fall or winter.

Has anyone been able to push their M2C delivery into October? I saw the M5 pushes earlier in the thread.

Raven said we can ask for it...I replied with a follow-up on tires and dates.

That's my exact concern. I emailed Raven Friday to push as late into OCT as possible. But if (and probably when) that doesn't work, the PCD is minimum 8 weeks(?) out from that, pushing into December. I'm not particularly interested in driving through IL, IA, MN in winter on summer tires.

I honestly don't know what to do at this point. I appreciate BMW pushing ED into OCT but now it's just making the decision harder!

Exactly, you can't really go the "low route" either. I can, but the best part about driving all the way out west is going up into the Rockies and then down. Not exactly a winter road trip.

What?! You mean New Mexico isn't as exciting as the Rockies?!

Actually, I drove through it last year and it is stunning. That said, it's not the same kind of driving.
