Vertical scratch on my driver window

Just noticed a vertical scratch on my driver window. Is there any issue with the window mechanism which causes this? I never roll down my windows and just wondering what might have caused this? Anyone else have a similar scratch on their window?

It's hard to take a picture and I was lucky to snap one with the right lighting conditions.

Is there any way to buff it out? I don't know if I should take it to the dealer, but if this is common issue then will definitely do!

Thanks in advance!

Not trying to sound condescending, but is it just dirty? The reason I ask is because I frequently roll down the windows. Over time you can see dirt from the rollers on the window. Sometimes it’s hard to remove.

Provided your windows aren’t tinted and the the glass is etched, might be worth trying a glass polish to see if that would correct the problem. Either way, good luck!

The only time i've seen a scratch like that is from a Window Tinter not being careful when cutting the tint film.

That said, i think if you can feel it with your fingernail you're out of luck

Yeah I can feel it with my fingernail, it looks like I won't be able to polish it out, correct? I don't even know how it got there.

It's not dirt for sure!

Can you clarify if this is tinted or bare glass?

This is just the base glass, no tints!
Still trying to figure out what caused the scratch.

I have that line but it is just grease on the inside (No Tint). Comes right off with window clearer. Anyway, something inside the door leaves this mark when the windows are lowered. Maybe dirt or sand got down inside the door and contaminated whatever this gunk is causing a scratch?
