Geez, hope Porsche doesn't end it too! It's already enough BMW is

Got an update today...not a great one. Just got to the MD port yesterday, a full week behind when it was expected. Next week delivery looks unlikely.

I guess a Thanksgiving present to myself?

It's like they intentionally decided to drag their feet on these failed EDs.

Do I understand it correctly that no M2 GTS is planned for production?

I'm day 17 at port in Germany. At this rate I won't be able to get the break-in miles done before the first track day at VIR next year.

Sucks. If you had a similar build...I'd offer you mine at pcd here shortly. I'm to the point where I'm likely going to just tell them to give me my deposit back.

It was today. I am trying to decide if I can push out, but with all the new Covid restrictions, it may not be as easy.

How did you find out? Which ship were you on?
Mine has been at the port for 2 weeks I think and I was just told there is a recall on some parts which will further delay the delivery.

Call (844) 443-6487 and get a service rep on the phone. They can get you that info.

Mine has gone back to "At the Port." Hopefully, this is the US port and not that they've realized it never left Bremerhaven!

I've been calling the genius number about every other day and they just seem more confused each day how it could still be sitting there. Eventually one rep told me to get the dealership to make a call and they could get more info then the genius reps had access to.

After about 24 hours the dealership said they were told customs has been very busy and experiencing delays processing vehicles. He said "there is a chance we should see the M2 by end of this month." I was expecting it at the beginning of the month.

Just to share some thoughts based on what I went through.

Genius is probably not going to be able to help you, they have no ability to do deep dives on such delays. You need to be a bit nasty and they will connect you to a "customer retention" specialist. That person, depending on how much of stink you make about the delay, can figure out what is going on.

If you folks remember, my car was stuck at Bremerhaven for 60+ days. I found some leftover documents and forms (in german) in the glovebox, which seem to indicate that the car went back and forth at least 3 times between the storage facility at the port and the loading dock, each time getting returned because the loading personnel could not find this "undelivered" ED car in their system. So to me, this seems to indicate that the BMW NA request to BMW AG to transfer the car from ED to direct ship queue did not fully materialize at first, and the folks at the port were scratching their heads for 60+ days trying to figure out why my car is there and not in Munich....

IT. FINALLY. HAPPEND!!

After 193 days since order, 5 Euro Delivery reschedules, and 1 Performance Center Delivery conversation, I took local delivery of my 2021 M2C.

Coming from a 228 and reading/watching reviews of the M2C, I had high expectations for this car. So much so I was a bit worried they were too high. The first couple hours driving today, it easily exceeded my (already high) expectations.

Very first (brief) impressions, keeping in mind my baseline is my 228:
- The shifting is SO precise and tight. My 228 feels like my old 1999 Saturn in comparison.
- Body lean? What body lean?
- THAT EXHAUST NOTE. Yea, I've heard about OG M2 exhaust. But I am blown away.
- Interior build quality is exquisite. Classy. Sophisticated. Again, my 228 felt like a Little Tikes in comparison.
- The proportions are just so sexy.

Some of this may be my 193 day wait, some of it may be a slight exaggeration, but WOW. I was a bit worried writing the second largest check of my life (behind my down payment on my house) but there is absolutely 100% no buyer's remorse.

I've always been excited about new cars. But this is above and beyond I've ever felt before, even my S4 back in the day.

Good luck to those of you who are still waiting delivery. It is SO worth the wait.

Tirerack - they installed them for me. I'll be throwing on the summers later in the spring!

Sorry, by how you find I meant how you like the performance in the waning days of Fall in MN.

Ah! Haha sorry - so far so good. I haven't really pushed the car yet (plan for tomorrow, within break in period rules), so might be able to see more differences then. Compared to the Supersports I had before, they are def more responsive in ~30 degree weather.

@marshall834 about time! I know we spoke months ago since we all wanted ED, but wow, took awhile. Glad to see another M2C in MSP. I actually may be in MSP around Christmas time. Was this from Motorwerks?
