Also don't forget to tag me in the UOA.

But I can't wait to see the results. I know an m2 guy did a UOA after track use (2-3 events) with the older lower hths ppe 5w40 and results looked good. I will try to find that thread and post the link here.
Yeah, I had 2 1/2 qt of old SN+ version, so ordered another package to get rid of the old stash. The new package is API SP. Not thrilled as API SP in W40 grade limits Zinc to 800ppm.

Looks like the new Castrol-supplied BMW TPT oils are rolling out in the BMWNA parts system. The LL-01FE 0W-30 PN is 83215A2AF99, which supersedes 83212365950. The LL-01 5W-30 PN is 83215A2AF83, which supersedes 83212365946. These are the 1L bottle PNs.

It's to be seen how these new oils compare to the SOPUS oils. Considering that they used GTL base stocks, I wonder how Castrol is matching or beating their performance. According to the official Castrol press release, the oils will all be Group III-based.

Thanks for the p/n! Strange to see letters in a bmw p/n lol.

Do you know if they'll bring back 0w40 like they used to have?

Yeah, pretty strange. No idea about the 0W-40. All I saw were the full-SAPS and low-SAPS versions - 0W-30 in LL-01FE and LL-12FE (83215A2AFC3), 5W-30 in LL-01 and LL-04 (83215A2AF87). They will also be making 0W-20 oils for LL-14FE+/LL-17FE+ and the M 10W-60 (which I assume will be the Castrol EDGE Supercar they offer now?).

Very interesting, I will need to look at these new bmw approvals too.

Hope they can improve their current 0w40 oil even more than how good it is now, and then also give it bmw approval. At that point I might make a switch from ppe 5w40.
