11" rear wheels Possible? Drag Set up
to my knowledge the biggest I can go is a 10.5 wheel on the rear of a 2020 m2c.
Hypothetically, I'm wondering if I'm wrong and seeing if anyone knows if 11" rear wheels would work on the back for a set of drag racing tires for shift sector. not exactly worried about anything but straight line performance for this scenario so logic tells me if I put big enough spacers on I should be able to make them fit. Stock calibers and Mcs coilovers. If this has been answered elsewhere sorry to kick a dead horse.

Something else to consider is going with an 18 or even a 17 inch wheel for more sidewall. A 10" wide wheel works fine for a 305 tire.

- the suspension you have will probably need to be changed to allow more room - the exact offset will need to be perfect for your suspension choice - the suspension and exact camber you choose will depend on the tire you choose - the ride height will have to be catered towards the tire/wheel/offset/suspension HOWEVER If you're drag racing regularly you should know that the .5" isn't going to make nearly as much difference as the proper tire and pressure. Lastly, I've seen a 19 x 11 +43 shod with a 305/30 fit nicely on a standard M2 without much fuss, just camber and height adjustment (and a specific tire was chosen as well), so an M2C fitment isn't that far off, maybe 5mm. To me, this is mostly about the suspension. If you choose a very thin suspension you could probably fit a 19 x 11 +48 with a sticky 305. |

Thank you! I don't drag race often at all but my friends really into it so I'm doing a few events with him this year, because, why not.

Drag racing can be quite frustrating in an M2, as the car isn't made for it at all, but it can be fun. I'm not a drag racer whatsoever, but back when I had my '05 STi I broke a lot of hearts, and that was quite fun, even addictive.

Iv'e been looking to run the widest possible rim in the rear of our cars,
I traded some emails with Apex regarding this.. In my case I've decided to get a pair of 18x11's from them and work a set of 305/35's onto the rear. Probably the Toyo RR's 275/35F. 305/35 R Tom Maloney (APEX Race Parts) Dec 30, 2020, 2:36 PM PST Thanks for clarifying that! The most ideal option in terms of rear-wheel fitment for an M2C would be our 19x10.5 ET45 EC-7 wheels. They are made specifically for the M2 rear offset and will be a direct fit for your M2 with 295/30-19 or 285/30-19 tires. The 19x11 ET44s may work for the rear of your M2, but we have not tested them with a 305/30-19 tire so we can't guarantee fitment. I have had a customer run our 18x11 ET44 wheels on the rear of his M2C with 305/35-18 tires. He said it fit without rubbing, but I believe he was running additional negative camber in the rear which helped. You can view images of that car here: https://flic.kr/p/2k1s7Rv https://flic.kr/p/2k1vRYe If you are looking for a guaranteed fit, I would recommend the 19x10.5 ET45s. If you are willing to experiment, the 11 inch wide ET44 wheels may work, but we can't guarantee fitment. If you'd like to take a look at the setups we recommend, check out our fitment guide: https://support.apexraceparts.com/hc...-Fitment-Guide Thanks again, Tom Maloney - BMW Product Expert APEX Race Parts I had sent this to him: I have a set of your 18x10 ET 33 SM-10's in Anthracite. I'm looking to run the NT01's in the 305/35 for the rears and the 40 offset of your 10.5 " rims will help negate the wider tires. On my current setup I have 295/35 Yoko A052's in the rear. These will make contact under full compression. It looks like you have some 19x11's with a ET44 for sale. I could run them with the 305/30's. Current Yoko specs 18x10 Et33 with 26.2 Diameter & 11.8 Sec width With your 19x10's ET 44 and 305/30 NT-01's: 26.26 diameter & 12.32 sec width. So Diameter is fine, There's a .43" offset difference to help negate the 0.52" width increase. So I need to make room for 0.09". This sounds like it will work with some serious, careful fender rolling. I also have some camber shims I can use to get more than 2.0 Neg in the rear. Thoughts guys?

Yeah that's the route to go here the more I weighed out the options. 305 on the rear should do it.

So 255/30/19 on 9.5” and 285/30/19 on 10.5” is the best in terms of fitment correct? What should be my ET for something as close to flush without rubbing

With a whole lot of camber I have 265/30/19 and 295/30/19 on the titan 7 m2 fitment. I have suspension and the cars slightly lowered as well
