So I'm going with the idea already post of the Old M2 LCI but with a load of M performance parts stuck on it. Notice how it has M performance part on the windscreen or windshield if you will.

Or they want to tell the world; "listen those M Performance parts are also for older M2", but then why call it a concept. If anyone wants to catch up next week at FoS, I will mostly be in the supercar paddock. MR |

Have only had my LCI for 8 months and it's already being called "old"? Lol. If I hang on to it for another 8 months maybe it will be a "Classic"...

This is what the 1982 320i should have been from the very beginning. I feel terrible for those folks who just bought one only 36 years ago and now next thing they know this comes out. No other automaker does this, comes out with a model and then 36 years later comes out with one just like it but with upgraded engine, seats, and the most aggressive mirrors this side of the Haunted Mansion. Maybe those people who just bought the 1982 320i can get an allocation for one of these and not take too big a hit?

They've realised the pre-competition M2 is by far the better face for a hotter looking variant! These facelifts are now coming before the new variant is released!

Maybe it's the new version of the M235ir just based on the M2?

I think the base M2 is gonna be available alongside the M2C. So I don't think they'll be selling a "supped up" M2 alongside of it cause then both cars would be competing with each other for sales. Kinda the same argument with producing a new hood and roof for the base M2. I forget the company names, but the hood and roof already exist in the aftermarket. My guess is that it's a M2 with aftermarket parts put together specifically for the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The image may be used to promote the event, get ppl talking about it.

The current M2 non-LCI and LCI customer base is far larger than the current M2 Competition customer base at this time.
Why wouldn’t BMW market these products for those customers? Just because it’s an older model and been around longer doesn’t mean there is any less demand for M Perormance parts. Quite the contrary. |
