BimmerCode app and a OBD dongle, or find someone to code for you. Pretty straight forward. Search BimmerCode on the forum and follow the steps in those threads.

Went to my guys at Auto Tuning House in Orlando to get the S55 Dinan Heat Exchanger installed.

Some pics comparing stock vs Dinan. Got many questions about weight difference, stock is 4.4 lbs and Dinan is 9.5 lbs.

I used Bimmercode, very easy to use. Alternatively, Carly makes the same job.
I don't know if I'd keep ASD off if I had the stock exhaust, it is too quiet inside the cabin (EU version), the fake sound, even if it is not real, gives the car some personality especially in downshift.

Good to know. Frankly I cant tell which sound is through ASD, and which is real LOL. I'm ok with the sound as-is with the stock, so maybe I'll keep it.

Even better in real life - those look the part. Cool in black, but on the warmer side of cool in Orbit Grey finish (OEM BMW wheel color).

763M wheels are #1 of my top 3 of BMW M wheels. Not only because of design, but also for weight reasons:

763M (F87 M2 CS | F80 M3 CS | F82 M4 CS + as ///M Performance Parts for F87 M2 | F87 M2 LCI | F87 M2 Competition)

359M (E82 1M | E92 M3 ZCP | E92 M3 GTS)

Oh, Thank God-- You can't really see the "Dinan" name plastered over the heat exchanger once installed.

I've got this on the "to consider" list, but that was a deal breaker.

Looks great!

Most of the sound comes from the speakers, especially at low rpms in sport and sport+ mode.

Where are you in DC? I'm in Adams Morgan, and it seems like there's at least 1 other OG M2 running around here somewhere. The only M2C I've seen was running down Connecticut Ave. several weeks ago.

I'm in Potomac MD. Very rarely do i see an M2. Last sighting was a OGM2 LBB in a local neighborhood, the other was a SO M2C on the beltway and we followed each other for a bit. I also see a black OG in my work parking garage sometimes. Despite there being some amazing cars around here, the M2 is still a rare sight. I can live with that. The mild weather has really given me the opportunity to drive the M2 around so I can get up to break in mileage.

It's definitely rare, and I'm good with that too. I know there's a LBB OG that street parks over in Georgetown, but that's the only one I've definitely seen more than once.

Glad you're enjoying it... the first 1200 miles are certainly the hardest! Once you're done with the break-in, drop me a line if you ever want to get out for a drive.

Sounds like a plan once I break her in! There are so many great roads to drive on around here. Head out of DC on Clara Barton, up to River road, onto Seneca and then through Poolsville farm country.

I hate all the salt rocks they put down last two days...the M is in the garage. Tomorrow and the weekend seem like nice days to take her out.

Not a knock on you at all, its interesting to hear how some people rely on this and find it essential in a car after having it in a previous car. I had it on my previous 3 cars and, while always on, never once remember using them or relying on them. Maybe it's how I set up my mirrors? My closest friend (also a very experienced driver) swears by them and won't buy a car without it.

I had them on my F10 and don't miss them. I honestly think they make people too lazy and discourage shoulder checking.

It's a bit of a tease though that they recycle the housing from the F80 so the triangle lens is still there.

I would say this really depends on where you drive. I live in NYC, the road condition is way too much complicated. You always need to focus on traffic light, people crossing or riding on a bike next to you, etc. If I can check blind spot without should look then will be so much more convinience to me. A blind spot sensor helps me not miss something happened in front. maybe you live somewhere with good traffic that you don't really need this often, but to be honest now is 2020, I believe this sensor should be in standard package.

I'm with you, I think it was a massive oversight and laziness from BMW not to include it when all the components are already there.

I've had blind spot monitoring and I think it is one of the most impactful safety features since seatbelts, airbags and ABS.

I also think it's the older generations (no knock on older individuals) that usually say they never use it and they can set up the mirrors, etc.
