First look at BMW M2 fleet at Laguna Seca press launch

BMW M2 press launch fleet at Laguna Seca.

The car actually is blue. No sign of green anywhere. I like it.

Sorry about the slight blurriness.

Those photos are giving flashbacks to this:

Am I the only one that thinks the rear end looks amazing with the trunk open? hah

That's great that you were able to get into the track. Thanks for the pics.Didn't you think that LBB looked like a turquoise blue in the sun? That is the way the color looked to me when I saw an X5M in the sunlight.

All those cars were blue. I could not see turquoise anywhere. And I looked hard, cuz, up to now, I haven't liked what I've seen in the LBB pics posted on this & other forums. The colors in the pics I posted, I believe, are accurate. I used a Canon Xti with an unfiltered EF 30-70 mm lens; but, I was shaking a bit with the guard around.
Maybe under indoor or other subdued light some turquoise creeps out; but, in sunlight, nope.

Yes, you can. Check out the online raceway layout before you go. They were parked in Paddock 2, I think. According to the raceway schedule, they're going to be there for, at least, a week.
I went up around 10AM. Told the first guard I came to take pictures. The second guard (at the entrance to Paddock 2?) said it was OK to look.

Okay. i think i'm seriously going to sleep and drive there at 6am. I have work....so i have to make it back up to south bay.

Looking at the calendar: it says BMW Track and paddock on Friday. On saturday its just BMW 1/2 Paddock.

I've seen the X5M in my area several times. But notably, once in the rain, where I found it did look turquoise. In the morning sun and mid-day sun I found it to very blue like the press photos. I think in flatter, cloudy days and rain it is more turquoise.

I guess not today, that sounds a little too soon. It probably also depends on the embargo date set by BMW.

Wouldn't be surprised if we'll see some off-hand comments on social media very soon, though. Keep your eyes open...

If they were all BSM cars with an LBB pace car you would probably be saying the same thing about LBB

Euro-spec cars? (side reflector missing, warning triangle mounted) I wonder if they are going to have EU weight or US Curb weight?
