Mine is the Milltek equal length.
I’m in the UK so have the OPFs - this system is from those back.
I already had the Milltek opf back system and Milltek have used my car to develop the equal length.
Only things they changed from the stock exhaust is the extra length of pipe and removed the centre resonator.
All filters and cats remain.

I think they removed it as with it in place it was still too muted.
I think also that the stock resonator is one pipe?
Suppose there’s no reason to have two individual resonators though?

Like I said earlier though - the videos posted don’t reflect it in real life.
I know it’s probably the only way most people will make a decision in which to buy, from watching on line videos....

I'm not trying to hate on your new exhaust setup, I'm simply saying it's just not for me. It's your car and I'm glad you like it!

As for the stock resonator, I believe you are correct. It looks like it could potentially have merged the 2 different runners, and therefore had to be eliminated for the equal length to work.

*Stock is obviously on the left. Just because 2 tubes go in, and 2 come out, does not mean they aren't merged inside the resonator.*

I edited my post while you were typing...

I’ve no issue with others not liking it - makes no odds to me! (And I didn’t pay for it either...)

If I just want a louder sounding m2c (but still lower than 95dB at 3k rpm), should I just get a AA midpipe? Saves me a TON of money. I have a car with secondary cats.

I have no problems with the stock exhaust. Just think the muffler looks ugly and it could sound a lot better under 4k rpm.

Any known issues with the AA midpipe + stock rear combo?

No. This is a fairly popular combo. Lots of videos on Youtube

Anyone know if the Acrapovic rear muffler will bolt on directly to the AA mid pipe?

Are they cutting the pipe in the same location?

Cheers

Shouldn't need to do any cutting when using AA mid and aftermarket rear. Cutting is needed on OEM because the center section and rear are all one piece.

Yes I understand this but that doesn't mean that both companies are cutting at the exact same point according to their installation instructions , which would mean that they wouldn't connect if they don't cut at the same point.

Fairly certain the answer is yes. Most all aftermarket manufacturers make they axle back the same length so the AA mid shouldn't be any issue at all.

I did just install a Remus rear AA mid this weekend and looking at the Akra pics online, I can see it would be a fit.

Hope that helps!

My favorite exhaust tips are the 102mm Black Diamond tips that came with the AWE Track Exhaust for my Macan Turbo. (pics below)

What I like about the tips are the size (large diameter), single wall design, color, angled cut, and fact that the tips are long and tapered to proximal fitment. The latter feature eliminates the blunted side profile of the tips for which I am not a fan.

My question is, does anyone know of any high-quality, AWE-like exhaust tips for the M2C?

Thank you in advance

Honestly, Remus 102mm CF tips look amazing. Angled cut and menacing as well. I have them and they definitely make the rear of the car look that much better.

Thank you for sharing. . . of course, tip preference is very subjective.

Personally, I am not a fan of the double-wall tips and am interested in identifying something as close as possible to the AWE exhaust tips. . . if available anywhere?

Thank you again

I was browsing the M3/M4 Forums and noticed that Valvetronic is about to release their equal length M3/M4 exhaust. I sent them a message and asked if they were working on one for the M2C and Phillip said "Yes, Coming soon!"

Has anyone had experience with them before?

The answer, in short, is yes. However, see this thread for more information, it seems that a little bit of work is needed but mainly just with the clamps.

Warren,

Any insight or feedback to the question I posed a few posts ago pertaining to AWE-like tips?

Thank you in advance.

Try Active Autowerke, they have tips that fit and some of their options look like the AWE ones you posted.
