clutch stop
Does a clutch stop work on all year comps? ECS tuning says it won't fit on my 21. I've seen several videos of people putting them on so i'm a bit confused.

Yes, the BMS one fits a 2021, although they are a PITA to install. There's no differences, ECS is just wrong.

BMS works well, but I had to take a shim or two out because I wasn’t getting a full mechanical clutch throw and this caused intermittent shift issues beyond the typical BMW 1>2 wonkiness.

It did fit. I compressed the fins a bit to help fit into the hole. I ended up removing 2 disks to ensure there wasn't any issues.
Overall I'm happy with the results. The funny thing was when I removed the stock piece it was destroyed, providing no stop at all. Last edited by Apexeater; 09-25-2023 at 01:26 PM.. |

I can confirm the BMW clutch stop fits on a MY21, although it was a pain in the ass to install compared to my MY17 M240i which took 5 seconds. I went with 2 shims.

I had to pull a shim off of mine after installing, and getting it back out was a serious PITA. But the initial install was no big deal.

The 1st one I tried to install broke off and I had to drill out the plastic portion left. Good news on the 2nd attempt all went in ok and has been a noticeable upgrade.
