Ripped Window Trim Seal
Hi everyone,
I know this is a super small imperfection, but want to see if anyone else has experienced this. I have a 2020 and it appears the window trim seal has already torn on both sides. Again, super minimal and barely noticeable, but it happened. Here is a pic. Thanks, Mike Last edited by TheHoffmobile; 01-10-2020 at 11:26 AM.. |

Trying to figure out which area we’re looking at..
Is that the rear quarter panel, or is it the leading edge of the door/window? ‘Minimal’ is all it takes to have leaks, so I understand your concern. |

This is where the window closes near the rearview mirrors. I‘m in South Florida and it rains frequently.

I have it on driver side window on an 2018 OG M2. Thought about getting it fixed but it's so minor I keep forgetting and it doesn't seem to be getting worse. may do it right before the warranty is up.
Hope this helps... |

Definitely does. Thank you. Just want to make sure I’m not the only one and that maybe my tint installer didn’t do it. It’s on both sides, so I feel like it has to do with the Florida heat and the window just wearing out the little thin piece of rubber.

Bumping this back up, did you ever find the cause? I'm noticing this after a tint job on a car with 2k miles. Same sort of tears. They use computer cut but I think when they're cleaning with the razor blade this happens not sure
