I vacuum the surface gently to remove dust, dirt etc. Then wipe with a damp (with water) microfiber cloth, followed by a dry microfiber cloth. You dont need anything else. For the seats, use any high quality leather cleaning product.

Least aggressive cleaning product to do the job is a great strategy as mentioned by Kutta.

For anything damp microfiber can’t handle, I reach for Ammo Lather from Ammo NYC

I like ONR diluted with distilled water for light work. Koch Chemie ASC is a nice alcohol based cleaner if you want something like that also, great for screens.

I like Adam’s Polishes Total Interior Cleaner. It works well for plastics and leathers. I always finish off the leathers with the BMW UV Protection Leather Care Kit.

I don’t touch the alcantara door cards nor shifter boot with any of these, though.

Be very careful if you plan to clean the instrument panel screen as the plastic scratches almost immediately upon contact. I’ve just been using a can of compressed air to clean the dust off of mine.

Someone scratched mine slightly, either dealer or body shop when I had it in.

I will say, I found that you can clean it if you are very very careful. My method is take a low nap soft microfiber towel and I used an alcohol based cleaner that leaves NO residue. (Koch Chemie ASC). First, blast off the loose dust with air. Second, wet the towel with the cleaner and clean it with a blotting motion. To ensure you aren't scratching it, you need an intense light or to do it with sunlight at your back. I did it at 6 PM because my parking spot faces the opposite way and the sun hits the gauge directly showing every little defect. I was able to clean it fully without introducing any new scratches. If you keep the swiping to a minimum you won't introduce any new scratches.

I been using 303 aerospace protectant. Seems to work fine on plastics and dash. Maybe not ideal but never had issues with it in any of my cars.
