Long story short, I have been reading the forums for 7 months, waiting on placing an order, but the desired options were not available at the time. About to call the dealership with a follow up call and with the build code, when there was a match 15 miles away. Talked it over with my financial advisor (Wife) and picked her up this evening.

HS, MT, Slick top, "black" forged wheels, CF extras (Spoiler, Mirrors, Rear diffuser)

Very excited as my first full BMW. Wife has a Mini Cooper R56 that she will not give up.....ever.

I wanted to thank everyone on this forum for lots of information and opinions about this car. It is the perfect fit for my wants/needs.

great pick, smiles per mile is hard to match

my 2 cents, do not baby it, warm it up slowly then enjoy and put some damn PPF on the sensitive areas, front end and rear quarter panels from all the junk your sticky tires kick up

Maybe I'm just jinx but stone chips are attracted to me in this car

Lastly, be careful about curb rash, drive through ATM, spiral parking garage entrance inclines all claimed a bit on my wheels

aggravated me so much I bought another set

(Rims poke out more than you think)

thank you for the advise. I'm not too worried about curb rash as it is my weekend fun car only. looking into PPF options.

Actually anything from here will do: https://www.shopbmwusa.com/BMW-LIFESTYLE

Although they need more ///M specific products like the Performance Center has.

its not bad, slight different shape than the OEM.
but don't take my word for it as I only test drove one with the OEM for a few minutes.

Now that the roads are clear of snow, took her out just around town staying below 5K rpm.

This car is a beast waiting to be unleashed. can't wait until after the break-in.
