Affirmative for me. Will keep you posted on the plates/sticker/timing, might be of interest to others here.

I ordered in Jan for a June ED, switched to US pickup in May, the car was built in June, shipped on July 8 and arriving in CA on Aug 4.

No problems at all for me, although I was also unable to re-negotiate price, do just getting the 5% off. But hey, Norwegian Air refunded our airfare so it now feels like 10%

Anyone scheduled for final ED week pickup?

I pushed out my M2C ED pick up to September because I wasn't confident I could get into Germany in August. I have to thank M car / ED specialist bimmerdavid.com because I've made so many changes!

Let me know if you're picking-up the final week!

Are you confident they will lift the restrictions in September?
I have a 9/8 pick up and judging by our numbers and how entitled majority of the society is we will not be improving any time soon.

What's your build? I am not at all confident anymore and starting to wander to Porsche...hoping it'll still work out but I have a feeling it may not happen for anyone.

How do we start a petition to the BMW CEO to keep ED for at least next year? Or do we all just tweet at him daily?

Just heard from Raven.
Plates are issued 1-3 days ahead of the delivery date. I threw in the towel too early, and as the delivery was cancelled, AG decided to save themselves some money and not apply for the plates, which is understandable.
The environmental windshield sticker (Green 4) is issued for a set of plates. Hence, since there are no plates, there will be no sticker.
On the shipment timeline, there seems to be some scheduling system failures with AG, and so the car is still sitting in Munich and awaiting transfer to the "direct ship" line. Once that transfer happens, the timeline will be roughly the same as it takes a car to get from loginout at MUC to the local dealer.

In summary, no plates and no sticker, and roughly early September timeline for "redelivery".

I have a F90 Competition being built, but the M2 forum has the best updates for travel to EU right now.
Travel restrictions are supposed to be updated on 7/29 and I am hoping for the best, but if it doesn't happen then it is what it is. I will probably book a similar trip for Fall 2021 and just rent a car that we can't get here for the family. I saw they had a M550D wagon.

Is anyone anticipating a BMW CCA rebate?

A little noise in the process. Typically you submit the rebate after you take delivery at the welt.

I assume a failed Welt attempt results in a pivot to taking delivery at the dealership and that starts the clock on the rebate window.

I have a call into the club to clarify since I actually locked in my purchase in June and just made my first payment yesterday.

I think you'd still submit as if you had taken Welt delivery...as you'll have the purchase contract at that point.

That's why I want to clarify - my delivery date was initially in June. I've got an executed purchase agreement and have started to make my payments thru BMW FS.

But I don't have the delivery odometer or other fields you need to populate to fill out the rebate paperwork.

Welp - very sad to say it, but I am officially out. Cancelled my order with my CA today. Delivery was scheduled for 9/9 and it's not looking like ED will be possible by that date. While the M2C is a great car, the purchase for me was not for the car, it was for the ED experience and with that going away, no sense in proceeding. Hopefully BMW will reconsider and breathe life back into this program based on the impacts COVID has had on the last rounds of the ED program. Until then, perfectly happy with my M3 and X3

Wishing the best to the rest of you that are still holding out - fingers crossed you all get to turn this last ED into a reality!

I am so close to doing the same. I am actually starting to wonder if BMW will just call it off on those of us remaining.

I am about to do that same thing myself. Looks like United/Lufthansa made a call this afternoon to cancel my direct non-stop flight to Munich. I will still take delivery of the car, but this sucks!

Apparently Spain may be having a second wave, so some EU countries are imposing restrictions on arrivals from Spain. Here's the article at The Daily Mail:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...rus-cases.html

I can't access the one from The Telegraph. In any event, this is yet more bad news.

To add insult to injury, I can (for the time being) book a flight through another airline but ticket prices look to start at $8,800 per ticket for business class. Ouch!

If they've cancelled on you, they need to accommodate you via another routing...Star Alliance has plenty of ways to get you to Munich. I'd call up LH and see what they say.

Wow! I thought with a global pandemic prices were going to be cheap! Guess there are still plenty of travelers...
