Good for you but I believe you just lost your privileges to criticize CS owners, for their lack thereof - on price VS value.. J/k

Not a fan of any enhanced exhaust note, I'm a sleeper kind of guy but I would of probably also spring for the M Performance exhaust, if just to rid my vehicle of the stock, cow utter-like appearance..

Otherwise, your car truly looks handsome

One of the later deliveries but it's finally happened! Just took delivery of my M2C today after ordering it late May. Exact 5 months wait and was well worth it!

Lucky enough to ask the dealer to not drill the front bumper as well.

So, as to give kudos to my local BMW dealership . . .

Called me this morning and said they packaged my stock suspension and exhaust system. I thought great, but had no idea they would polish the stock muffler, remove and individually wrap the exhaust tips, and package so nicely.

To be clear, I think the stock ('udder') exhaust looks great. The one thing hard to appreciate in photos is just how much bigger (wider) and heavier the stock exhaust is compared to MPE.

Someone asked if MPE is associated with modest power gains? I'm not sure but, if it is, the gains are not appreciable to my senses. Also, what the weight difference is between stock and MPE? Again, I do not know the specific difference, only than the stock exhaust felt much heavier when physically lifting.

Brother Poochie do you have answers to questions posed?

From what I understand, the only difference between the stock and the M Performance exhaust set up is the usage of a scant amount of titanium and less sound insulation. There is really not much more to it.

As far as the MP being lighter, I haven't personally measured the weight difference but logically, I'm going to assume it's not a significant reduction in mass or else BMW would of plastered this fact, front page, on all their promotional material for this item.

Here a cutout of an M4's inner exhaust barrels, compared to, side by side:

Thank you Poochie

I know you know this, but I will state it anyway . . . I did not get MPE with any consideration or hopes of weight savings or increased power gains.

Of the two matters, I am under impression the MPE weighs much less than the stock exhaust based on significant size difference and by how much less the MPE felt compared to the stock exhaust when lifting.

So, what is 'much less?" I can only say the weight difference was clearly noticeable. However, when talking about 3600 pounds, I am also certain the weight difference is insignificant.

I asked my dealer the same in the UK and they obliged, supplying the number plate mounting kit separately.

I currently have mine on velcro straight to the bumper

So, full disclaimer, I am in no way whatsoever involved in the car sales business. I have absolutely nothing to gain whatsoever by sharing the following . . .

This thread has served many purposes, including some who have expressed frustration over long waits pertaining to build and delivery.

In addition, there are others looking at lot cars where dealerships are not willing to negotiate, and even some asking above MRSP.

I was driving by my local BMW dealership and saw a new M2C coming off truck. Confirmed with sales manager that it's up for grabs. They really nailed the 'extras' on this one. Beautiful build.

2021 / Alpine White / Manual Transmission / Executive Package / Blue Interior Stitching / MP Exhaust / CF Mirror Caps / CF Rear Spoiler / CF Rear Diffuser

MRSP $70,935

I can tell you the dealership NEVER goes above MRSP and I am quite certain they will negotiate points off. Anyone who knows my journey knows this is a 5 Star BMW dealership.

AVM,

The press release claimed 8 kg (30%) savings from stock to MPE, Something like 57 lbs stock to 40 lbs MPE. FYI.
