Okay, but if just disabling voids the warranty then may as well just do everything. They are installing the Remus mid pipes (more noise, it's way too quiet at moment) and doing a mild tune for a bit more power and have assured me i won't get the light again.
Resetting the light every 250 miles or so is just annoying.

If you do all this, then get a ECU file that has the OPF filters disabled.

I am interested in getting this exhaust, but was wondering if it is legal in California?

Not a good sign! All European owner with Remus systems if the engine warning light goes on, be aware it could well be the OPF.

If it matters, I'm running the non-race ec approved Remus slip-on and have had no CEL for 5000km

It doesn't touch emissions control so it's CARB compliant. As far as noise/DB limit it's probably out of compliance with valves open, but likely ok with valves closed. To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure the stock exhaust is technically noise compliant. Knock on wood but haven't had any problems or unwanted attention with this exhaust system.

REMUS M2 Competition Sport Exhaust

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to update on some exciting things we have going on here at REMUS. One of the forum members @juicehead(Mike) has been kind enough to produce a comparison video of our Race and Sport versions of the REMUS M2 Competition exhaust.

He currently has our Race system installed with:
VRSF DPs
AA Mid
Remus Race Rear(088318 1500)

As you can imagine it is quite aggressive and he wanted something a bit more tame for everyday driving. He went ahead and purchased and installed the Sport version of our M2 Competition exhaust and kept everything the same with the exception of the REMUS axle back section. I will include a link to that thread as well as the videos below.
VRSF DPs
AA Mid
Remus Sport Rear(088018 1500)

Based on the interest I will be ordering these systems and begin to start offering them to the US market. Here are the videos Mike produced and also the link to his thread so you can see what his thoughts are on the new set up.

REMUS M2 COmp GPF/Secondary Cat back Replacement Tube

I also received word from the factory that we are finishing up production on the GPF/Secondary Cats back replacement tube that eliminates the huge silencer located between the GPF/Secondary cats and the axle back section.

This means the system remains CARB legal in California as it keeps all emissions related hardware installed. I am not sure about DB levels but emissions for sure we are good to go.

Please see picture below of the silencer that is replaced with racing tubes for our new release. I will post official images as soon as I receive them.

So it's similar to Eisenmann midpipe and not to Milltek which has a resonator.
I'm worried that it can be too loud and drone for my taste without a resonator.

No drone (i have ASD off) and i think it's far from "too loud"
Here's a quick video, not the best but i'll get some better ones when i get a chance.

REMUS M2 Comp Silencer Replacement Tubes

@bmwfan1234 Thank you for posting. Hope you are enjoying the system. I received images from the factory for the front silencer replacement tubes. I have ordered these and will have them on next sea freight shipment. If anyone is interested in these before that time I can order direct from the factory for an additional shipping charge.

Still waiting on pricing and will update once I receive. Please contact your favorite REMUS dealer for additional info.

My Remus Race came in yesterday, are the instructions included only for the regular M2 or is there a version of the instructions for the M2C?

HI,
Send me the part numbers on the exhaust, need to first make sure you received the correct part.

Is it a catback or only rear section?

It’s only the rear section and appears to be the correct part.

Mine arrived with OG M2 install instructions as well. Send a pm to OP and include your email and he'll send you the correct PDF. I would say that the instructions weren't 100% straight forward and you are gonna have to figure a few things out on your own.

That’s true, just finished the install a little while ago. I will work on aligning the tips better tomorrow.
