So if you want those items sooner rather than later how do you go about it in Canada? Have to order the cable and hire a coder to do it remotely? like a code my car type of service?
You could learn to do it yourself ...that's what I was going to do until I found out about BimmerCode.

Pm me if you want instructions for coding using E-Sys (also found elsewhere on this forum btw)

This is pretty cool. I actually often have the kids in the back seat so I probably wouldn't code it but I can certainly see why many would.

It is possible to codify that when the alarm is connected or disconnected, it emits a beep, not because it does not come from the factory.
And the traffic signal recognition? I understood that it could be done by coding, I have a driving assistant in my car.
Thanks

If you mean having the cars horn beep (or not) with alarm/lock engagement/disengagement, that can be done via idrive under vehicle settings. You may also be able to do it this way (although I have not tried it):

1. Press both the lock and unlock buttons on your remote for two seconds.
2. Watch for the hazard lights to flash three times.
3. Lock the doors and confirm that the horn does not sound.
4. If you want to reactivate the beep feature:
5. Press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the remote for at least two seconds.
6. Watch for the hazard lights to flash once. The horn should honk one time.

Thanks, I just tried the command and it does not work in my M2, in the idrive menu I do not have that option, the car is from January 2017.

Sorry, thought I read you could do through Idrive

On bimmercode, expert mode, you could try (have not done myself)-

FEM Body 3040
- CLM_HORN_AT_SECURING

Btw what is traffic signal recognition?

Thank you!!!!!
I will try with the application, the signal recognition is an extra that indicates on the board the limitations of speed and prohibitions that the camera of the mirror is reading.

I added the following "quick coding" options:
- voltage monitoring (FEM and REM)
- seat heating temperatures (FEM)
- rain light sensor sensibility (FEM)

More is coming soon and I will also look into the seat codings @Em-too mentioned.

The HMI_VERSION function in the NBT is available in expert mode, but the ID6 coding value seems to be missing. I will fix this asap and maybe add this as a "quick coding" option.

Edit: The function is named HMI_ID_VERSION and not HMI_VERSION and this is accessible in expert mode.

Otherwise I am working on the ACSM module for the seatbelt stuff.

For users wanting to control the exhaust flap (and ASD) with an app, BimmerCode has another app that does that, based on the app's description: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/bimm...065360416?mt=8

Quote:
REMOTELY CONTROL EXHAUST FLAP
BimmerLink also allows you to remotely control the electronically controlled exhaust flap of your car. Decide for yourself, whether the exhaust flap should be closed or open which affects the sound of your car.

ACTIVE SOUND DESIGN MUTE
If you do not like the artificially produced engine sound generated in your BMW, just mute the ASD with BimmerLink.

When you get a chance, can you add the ID6 as a quick code option. I'm not advanced enough for expert mode haha. Thanks!

Successfully coded my car this weekend with pretty much everything I set out to do.

Only snag I ran into (hopefully someone can help out):

After programming the comfort access to fold mirrors, no delay, etc., I seem to have lost comfort access on the passenger side. Driver side still works no problem. Any thoughts?

Comfort lock and unlock on passenger side only :

Driver works just fine. Also, question on comfort access: if I set key fob to active, does it disable the handles or adds fob in addition to the handles? I didn't have a chance to play around with this.

Ahh good point...maybe it reset after the coding. I'll check after work.

Also, the mirrors don't fold when I close with the key fob...not that it bothers me much, but kind of weird. I tried the holding the button down trick and no luck.
