I use a California Car Cover that I previously had for my 2004 330ci. Not a perfect fit (I don't use side mirror pockets) but close enough.

Don't recall what the actual material California Car Cover (CCC) used for this cover but the underside is very soft, almost microfiber soft, and the outside is robust enough for outside parking to protect against the elements (although I solely park my M2C inside the garage). Feel good that it won't scratch the paint, even if the M2C isn't squeaky clean.

Also, as a side bonus, it can be cleaned in a regular clothes washer, with a very mild detergent (no dyes, no chlorine) in the rinse mode x 5, then air dried it.

I give CCC thumbs up!

So do you guys cover your car in the garage? I'm not opposed to it, but can someone tell me why one would do that?
Also store this car, but the biggest thing is that it sits sometimes which requires more cleaning to remove the dust. The cover helps prevent the dust from settling on the paint.

The one I have is effectively yoga pants. Thin soft white material on the inside.

Anyone know if it will fit the M2CS? I am thinking if even modestly stretchable it should (to accommodate the CF front lip and slightly bigger lip spoiler). TIA

I think it'll be fine. I've got it for the M2C, and it's basically spandex with a fluffy interior. It should stretch without any drama.

FYI. I ordered on the 15th from a BMW dealer and they still haven't received it.

"this part was on a back order status and coming from Germany since the item is so new"

Does anyone also uses a CTEK to keep up the charge on the battery while storing under the cover?!

I use a battery tender on all my BMW’s and they are connected under the car cover. My M2C has the Quick disconnect pig tail routed up through the windshield. For my X7M50i, I just pop the hood a 1/2” and route it out front as I use the alligator clamps to the charge points under the hood. I use battery tenders on all my toys for the last 20 years.

Hi,

Could you give me the part number for the pig tail and picture on how it is connected? Sounds like a nice option. You keep it permanently on the car even while driving?

:
The pigtail comes with the battery tender. I do keep it attached permanently as that’s its design. The M2C is easy to run it up to just below the wipers for a permanent easy connection point without raising the hood.
