You can attach it directly to the front bumper or to any front lip. When I bought this, the Scrape Armor wasn't available for the M2C yet. I pick up the car this week, and since I already have the Acexxon protector I'm going to try it out.
How are those universal lip protector stickons working out? I’m gathering my goodies before she shows up next month. I figure those or the scrape guard. Thanks. - Mike

Well, I haven't scraped the front yet, but I applied them to the areas that would be most at risk. I think they should work. Scrape Amor clearly gives more protection and is more durable. But, given the cost and ease of application, the universal lip protector is still a good option.

Just curious, how has the Acexxon universal lip protector held up over this time?

Thanks for the info! Gonna order a set, seems like a good way to protect an investment.

Regarding applying the lip protector directly to the front bumper... The underside of the center grille seems to sit higher than the portion of the bumper under the two outer side grilles.

Just curious if you covered all three sections of the front bumper, or just the two outer sections?

Hope that question made sense lol

My plan is to just use the Acexxon protectors. Cheap, easy to replace, and no drilling into my expensive front bumper.

I just applied to the outer sides, which are lower. You will have enough to do the entire front bumper if you want.

it's a good option but if someday you want to put on a spoiler/splitter you then have to take it off and patch the small holes, etc?

Sure, it's not a bad option if you go that route.
