If you're worried about wear and tear, just get oem brakes from fcpeuro. Free replacement after you've warn them out.

I emailed Girodisc about replacement discs and never heard back from them.

Check out Lmperformance for Stop Tech aero rotors
A pair of slotted zinc rotors are $837.46, you also get 5% off if you go on their mailing list. I have them on my og M2

I second this - although they only seem to carry the front pair of rotors for the M2/3/4 (at least from what I could find).

But I do plan to go with them - getting free replacement rotors for life sounds like a great deal to me. Rears should last much longer anyways.

Right. Not completely free, you'd have to pay to ship them back. But it's far cheaper than buying new every few years.

Never heard anything back from Girodisc about replacement discs. But even though they're expensive, they're still what I wanna at least give a try. Them paired with the stock blue calipers setup is only 11lbs heavier than the BMW CCBs.

I'm also interested to know what 2-pc rotor options are out there (front and rear) for M2C.

Won't need them for a while but I have been thrilled with my Stoptech trophy kit on my E9X and would certainly lean toward Stoptech for rotors, pads and lines when it comes time for the first brake job on the car.

I saw the EDC option from Joe Achilles. Looks good.

Rotors

$12 each at Oreilly's Auto Parts to true up my rotors on a Rotor Lathe, which have no cracking. 3/1000's off gets them back to new condition.

Just sent an email to fcp euro to add the m2 competition front and rear rotor to their site, hope they will....

Few months ago, i saw that they were selling ferodo ds2500 and ferodo ds1.11 front brake pads for bmw m5/m6.

Since it's the same pads shape as the bmw m2 competition front caliper, i sent them an email to suggest to add them for the m2 competition and also ask to add the rear Ferodo pads for m2c

They listen and when you search m2 competition in the search box you can now find front and rear Ferodo pads for the m2c in ds2500 and ds1.11 compound

Very happy, just ordered ds1.11 front and rear with their Black Friday deal

So I'm confident that the m2c will be available on their site soon

Aaaand they delisted the DS1.11 from their website.. They probably figured out that a lot of people are taking the DS1.11 to track lol. Are you still be able to make a claim when they delist the item?

Yes i have an email from fcp euro confirming me that they have stock problem for the ds1.11 right now, reason why they removed them from the website but they told me i will have lifetime replacement for my front and rear Ferodo ds1.11 that i bought in November 2020

Have any of you guy's tried these Carbon rotor's from CMC Brake's in China.
OEM fitment.
They should last a Lifetime when driven normally and 10.000 km when used primarily on a track car.
Before you laugh you should study some..
https://www.cmcmat.com/automotive-ca...c-brake-discs/

Tolerable prices compaired to OEM carbon brake rotors.
Any dimensions of their carbon ceramic CCM-R brake rotors can be customized.
I'm interested!

Any feedback on the GiroDisc option for the M2 Competitions with truck brakes?

Bimmerworld has em and am thinking of doing these next.

I know a buddy of mine got Girodiscs and race pads on his 992 GT3 and it's got gobs of stopping power. I imagine it'll be the same if you swapped over to Girodiscs on the F87 platform too.

I think I'll give them a go. One site said they were heavier than OEM? But somewhere on here there were photos of the early f87 options and they were lighter than OEM?

I think you can get 3 discs out of a hat as well so not too bad on longevity.
