What will I need if my battery dies?

Hey guys, I'm asking this question because pretty much all the cars I've had in the past require a couple of things to be input when the power comes back on. Usually it's a NAVI and radio code. Is the M2 like that, or does everything just start up fine after the battery is disconnected??

I disconnected my battery to do the ASD bypass cable and don't recall having to do anything when i reconnected it.

pretty much all modern infotainment systems cache the vehicle's VIN, and validate it over CAN at startup. They only prompt for a code / need to be recoded if the VIN can't be validated against the cached "home" VIN -- so if the VIN changed, or if there's an issue with communication via CAN
