Does any company sell a hood with a power dome, no carbon fiber, no vents for F87
Does anyone know a company who sells a front hood for 2016-2018 M2 (pre-competition) with a power dome, no vents, no carbon fiber. I have not been able to find one anywhere. IMO, do not think anyone makes one as I have described.
All I can find is either carbon fiber hoods with or without vents, the OEM carbon fiber hood is approx $5k, just want a OEM looking hood with a power dome only. Thanks Last edited by damills; 02-23-2019 at 05:07 PM.. Reason: Clarified wording |

This looks like what you're after. Not sure if they ship to the US. Maybe we could organize a "Group Buy"...

I would be in for it, if they ship more than 1 would make shipping cost cheaper instead of shipping just 1. Would like to see a more detailed picture though, material hood is made of, etc |

hope so
Me too but I dont think there is any company in the US that makes this style hood
I would love to have one at a resonable cost, just dont want to spend $5k on a carbon fiber hood from BMW only to paint it the color of my car. I am hoping the 2020 cs or csl will have a non-carbon fiber hood that will fit all years of the M2 2016 and newer, hope BMW does leave us enthusiasts the ability to buy an aluminum hood with a power dome. They could sell at a higher price than a replacement hood, say $1500-$2000 range, bet they would sell a bunch of them. Yeah Right Last edited by damills; 03-02-2019 at 02:18 PM.. Reason: clarity |

Now I'm wishing I still lived in Germany, this price includes the sales tax at 19%. Please let's make this a group buy!!!

Also interested in this... Although I'm a bit skeptical about having to paint match on fiberglass vs aluminum. The potential weight savings could ease that sting though.

I am going to wait til the 2020 csl or whatever they call it has a power dome and find out if it will work on all f87. From what I have seen BMW fiber hood with a dome, fits all years. Hopefulle there will be no modifications to the front left, right fenders and front bumper so the hood will also fit f87 cars 5 grand is just too much to pay, I wished a company in the US made one but never have found one |

I sent IND an email from the contact email address, here is their response Hi Dean, We are considering this at the moment. Right now I'm thinking GTS duct vs. Power dome. We will have a final decision next week. Thanks, Nate@IND |
