It only takes a day or two for it to show up on 2wglobal. Longer to show in BMWUSA. Mine has yet to show as 'enroute', But is confirmed by WW.

based on my car it appears that the link doesn't work until the car is loaded and the ship as left the dock. I checked this morning and it did not find my car. ~ 1/2 hour later Elwood74 posted he was on the ship. I checked again and sure enough I was too.

I also emailed my CA in-between and he later sent me information similar to what ric124 posted.

HTH.

As someone else above suggested, I'm going to wait a couple of days, hold my breath, cross my fingers and any other bodily extensions that I can cross or tie in a knot, and then phone the Genius line again.
Well, I'm gobsmacked. Yesterday the Genius and dealer both told me my car's production was still on hold. This morning it's showing in MYBMW as production ended and ready to ship. All that stress for nothing.

Congrats on another milestone!

If there's anything I've learned throughout this M2 purchase and ordering process, its that I consistently get more accurate info from users on this forum, than I get from both Genius and my dealership combined.

Par for the course with the M2 experience. BMW really needs to get their shit together...

But hey, good news on the car front!

I know MyBMW is behind, my car was already done with production and it didn't show up on MyBMW for a few days. My car finished prod 8/17 but I still don't show it on the WW tracker or En route in MyBMW so it must be waiting for a ship.

If the car missed the Undine, looks like the next one is the Tortugas leaving on 08/30 and arriving in NYC on 09/14.

If you haven't already, give the Genius line a call. My car didn't ship with WW, but Kline, and they were able to give me the ship name, route # and ETA to Galveston (8/29!!).

I want to take back my rant above. The “hold” lasted only two days and my car is now status 155 (scheduled for carrier), so should be here in about a month. I offer some explanation for anyone who has ordered an M2 and further back in the queue. Many of us who have bought an M2 get all worked up and stressed about the lengthy wait, the differential recall, any little hiccup in the process. I’m also ADD, so I sometimes let my impulsivity get the better of me (rant above). We do this because, well, the M2 is a special car and we all drool at the prospect of having our own. In my case, I’m reminding myself to chill out. The M2 is worth the wait and mine will get here eventually.

Yeah just called, car went to port on the 20th and is waiting for a ship still.

Once it gets on a ship about how long does it take to get to the US port and then to the dealer, about 4 weeks? My car will be going to the Galveston TX port and my dealer is close to Galveston.

Mine has been sitting at port since 08/16 but has yet to be assigned. I'm guessing it may be because I'm on the West Coast and I know there aren't as many ships that come out this way.

It is scheduled to take 3 weeks from BMW's port to Galveston. Left 8/11 and arriving 8/29. Shipping with Kline.

However, that is with only one U.S. stop. It did stop in Halifax for a brief period, I'm assuming to gas up. I'll keep you up to date so you can get an expectation, since I'm a bit of ahead of your schedule.

Much appreciated. Sounds like 4 weeks to the dealer sounds reasonable from the time the boat sets sail. Did you buy from a DFW dealer?

Yep, BMW of Dallas.

My only concern at this point is clearing customs and VPC. Once that happens I'll update you.

FYI, if you are using marinetraffic.com to track the ship/car. You may want to...

Create a free account.
Create a fleet, e.g. My M2
Add your ship to the fleet so you don't have to search for it again
Customize your notifications. I have mine set to email me when the ship departs and arrives at the dock.

But that ruins the fun of checking its status every 5 minutes like a totally deranged person...

If I get there before the boat leaves... CT is on the way to RI, but I'll likely be in NJ at least a day longer than you for installation of front and side grills. You have any port installed options?

So originally my build was week 37 but today I received an email from BMW Genius saying week 36. If true doe that mean production should start sept 5th?
