Custom Exhaust

Talked about this setup in a previous thread. 4" Catless downpipe has been opened up to 3.5", then 3.5" midpipe with resonator to the diff where it splits to dual 3" and that ties into the Mperformance exhaust. Was going to eliminate the rear muffler, but decided to keep it since its almost 3" diameter on each side. Goal is more flow, fix the baffle in the muffler, quiet it down a little, and reduce drone.

Should definitely help with wgdc..Was one of the major reasons for doing so. There’s a big pinch right where the dp meets the factory midpipe on our cars..Like a 2.5” opening.

Made by _____ - I saw it on their Instagram story and I don't even have Social media lol.

You should ask them how I hounded them for my dynotune just for my injector to fail while I was on the dyno Keep us posted on the results - how low it hangs, weight, and if it changes WGDC.

Call Jason..Or Bob? I don’t know the backstory on what you went thru..Are you local or doing remote? I posted who is doing the work in another thread..

I’ll provide some feedback on how the performs/looks/sounds…Its not going to weigh much more(same material, just bigger)..Im pretty confident wgdc will change but will make logs anyway…Its not hanging much lower, you can see in one of the photos how tight they kept it

Nah, Bob - he's my tuner but I just know someone at the shop does fabrication. I just didn't want to mention names because you didn't in this thread. But Bob is awesome and I'm very grateful that he took the time to assist me, even though my day ended in frustration.

For the life of me i can’t remember the fabrictors name…Steve/Eric? I know another fabricator up here too who could do it, he works out of his house. Has a lift, etc

Just got an update and its close. Can’t post pics here from cell phone..So it sill be later and I don’t think I’ll get the car back til monday/tuesday due to liftkit, lpfp and injectors

Got the car back today. Adding the resonator and opening the midpipe up helped a lot..Sounds so much deeper and tamer.. Wgdc had improved as well. Not sure if the sound translates well over video but here it is..Can try to get some drive-bys another time..Might be better if im further away when recording https://youtu.be/3pEwRtaYaxI?si=4C2YgkFjdyYe4ta0

The logs will be not apples to apples unfortunately. Other parts were installed and tune changed. So while I can't give you what you're looking for I do find it hard to believe a setup like this isn't helping out. It hits harder/sooner and is making more boost than it could previously.

I mean, I already tested my 3" midpipe (likely factory M size) and it improved things a bit, so I agree I know if works. Hoping you get everything dialed in soon...you should have given Bob a nudge if you needed a tuner...


I really want to get my car back on the dyno - I've just been...so disillusioned about things breaking.

Was going to have Bob tune it since they did the fuel system and exhaust..They are definitely capable. We even chatted about the n52 cam..

I just so happened to grab a package from wedge on black friday. I’ll work with wedge for now as they are one of the more competent remote tuners. My car will be going back to stagefp for more in the future so im sure i’ll give him the reins then…

Theres threads around here. Most turned into a shit show though regarding data…

Talked with Bob about cams for the n55..There’s no cams listed for the n55, but s55’s work and you can also use a n52 exhaust cam for gains..There isn’t much data and not many tuners know the tables well..Appears Bob does though. I would contact him about them..I will likely give them a try next christmas along with the a/w setup…but need to get my current setup “finished”..

This is true, the S55 cams (not OEM, they are the same profile) will work with the N55 - but I don't know about gains. Sold by Shrick

Looks like you opened up the muffler box, mine started to rattle when low rpm light throttle. The shop told me just buy a new axle-back instead of cutting it open. Shitty MPE quality.

yeah, a baffle came loose. Try a different shop, they fixed mine and wasn’t too bad $$

Just went out, and another two shops refused to open the muffler, I'm glad you can find a nice shop near you LOL. Looks like I have to get a new set. Considering the Valvetronic now.
