The ZCP seats are very nice, so that would be cool - but you definitely feel like you're in a nicer place in the F80/82 (or the 981 for that matter). I hope they take a shot at that, but we might be limited to the changes that can be made based upon production supplies and realities.

Agreed.
I am expecting a decent price bump for the 718 GT4, especially if that car gets a GT-level engine, and not a 991.2 S hand-me-down like the 981 version (not that anything was wrong with that engine, but having a true GT spec motor would definitely raise the price).

This looks a little too previous-gen Z4 to me - sort of rounder than I would expect it to look like if that makes sense.
Good effort for sure. is there a way to make it more squat?

I'm sure someone out there with skills could pick up where I left off. I seriously don't have the time. You can see I had to get back to work by the time I started to edit the kidneys, they're a bit sloppy. Hope my boss isn't on this forum...

No worries - like I said, good effort based on how much of the picture was originally leaked. I can't tell if the kidneys will be bigger, or just angled differently. The lower part of the bumper is definitely more angular in the partially leaked photo, as compared to the civic M2. That might be a design trend that is consistent throughout the front (and perhaps rear?) end revisions.

Seriously I cannot believe we are discussing parking aids in an enthusiast forum.

Speaking of which, I hope the ZCP/CS comes with the 666M wheels - they look awesome on the M2.

hydraulic steering MANUAL seats MANUAL TRANSMISSION WITH NO AUTO REV MATCH all of which I am not willing to give up. I also own an X1 M sport as my daily driver... it's been a great vehicle but I do wish it were just a tad taller or the door openings a bit larger. So... I would ABSOLUTELY trade that in for a $75 K flappy paddled vehicle in X3 guise rather than get an M2 anything with flappy paddles. Interior updates on M2.1 appear to be orange or LBB stitching and a slightly different pattern and different seat belts. Sport Seats I believe are an option as well. I was guessing 100k, especially with a GT spec motor.
EDIT - given that the 981 version was 85k, the new one would have to be over 90 - the 718 went up 5k over the 981 across all models I believe.

Porsche usually does not do crazy price bumps. We see that through the lineup. The only change this time was with flipping the convertibles and the coupes to make the convertibles pricier than the coupes which is how it should have been from the beginning.
Strongly feel that the next GT4 irrespective of the motor will be 90-95K. If they calm it the RS, that’s a different conversation. |

If you compare the 1M to the M2 by performance, the M2 dominates the 1M in every category. Not only performance, updates from infotainment, interior, basically everything. I can think of 2 advantages the 1M has over the M2, hydraulic steering & smaller car overall (if you like that) If hydraulic steering is more important than every performance upgrades, and updates inside and out, then the 1M is fine. |
