Ouch :(

I was out for my afternoon walk yesterday and came upon this depressing sight. Idk if the owner is on these forums, but damn...I'd be interested to hear what happened.

Dealer sticker in the window says it was bought with 48 miles on the clock. 6MT. Has plates so it's not BRAND brand new, but new enough. Still had the hanging airbag warning tag sticking out of the glovebox. Front right wheel is obviously wrecked, control arms and suspension components equally F-ed. No airbag deployment though, so at least there's that.

I drive an F30 and consider the M2C one of my attainable dream cars (much respect for all of you guys here), so a little piece of me died inside when I saw this. I'm just not sure how it came to rest where it did. Can't imagine hobbling it home in this condition. I assume it was towed. In any case, sad to see.

When you get the car before you obtain a drivers license..

That's obviously a single-car-collision or he seemed to canteen under a truck bed.

Regardless, I wager that it was all his fault, so I feel sorry for the vehicle but not the owner..

I was being measured in any assumptions of the driver in the event they are on here. But yes, I assumed driver error.

Yes, that threw me off, so I assumed he swerved and went under something, presumedly, a truck. :

Had he collied with a pedestrian or automobile, the damage would be limited to the dead-center, of his hood and bumper.

Of course, I'm just assuming, I wasn't there..

These hoods are super soft! You can see it flex a ton when under the dryers at any touchless wash place.

He obviously was driving on Sports+ mode, lost control in second gear, hit a telephone pole that was being worked on, and the person working on the telephone pole fell down and on his hood and rolled off the car. Clear as day.

...looks like maybe somebody rolled through the 4-way Stop at some speed and clipped the M. Now, did the M stop is the question.

This scenario is just as valid as all the others 😂. So many arm chair insurance adjusters with no evidence or witnesses.

I would hate this happening to me but since we are playing the game here is my entry:

Lost control, jumped a sidewalk curb, collected a pedestrian, hit a building wall.

If you wreck this car in S+ you shouldn't be driving anything more powerful than a civic. MDM mode (in the US) is so intrusive you can floor it going around a turn and it will keep you in check. I'm thinking this person had DSC fully off.

Where did criticize anyone for an accident, of whomever this mystery person is, that you chose to vouch for?

What kind of hypocritical asshole would I be to do that, without knowing all the facts. That's almost as asinine as defending someone you don't even know, that wasn't even in the need of being saved.

This is a public automotive forum, where members discuss the subject at hand, someone had a question and I was spitballing my opinion, not scolding anyone, hence why I indicated, I "assumed".

Sorry if that offends your better sensibility

You must have a different MDM mode than I do because my car will spin the tires like crazy in MDM. The Competition has a looser MDM and if you have any power it will spin.

Same. I've had many a slide in MDM. Just have to find the right bend on the road.

Yeah, giving someone you don’t know the benefit of the doubt is asinine.
