I swapped the modules (based on a post in the Cosmetic Modifications forum) and everything works - even the lumbar adjustment which wasn't present on my original seats.

I didn't change the seatbelt pre-tensioners though and I'm currently getting a 'Driver Restraint System' warning. Noting that the driver's seat had a blown airbag when I bought it I'm hoping that fitting the pre-tensioner from the original seat will enable me to clear the code.

That's now a job for next weekend.

I've got a Fall Line Motorsport Oil Cooler Guard, but haven't installed it yet

https://ind-distribution.com/collect...l-cooler-guard

Mishimoto also recently came out with what appears to be a stronger oil cooler that I am considering, as well

I have a post that shows my homemade screen solution to protect the front coolers on the M2...I put it on after my original oil cooler got trashed on track and I put on a new larger one. Since I am a tech-challenged , I can’t link it here but you can search my posts....and others.

Well, noting that both sets of seats are electric, but the M2C seats have adjustable lumbar support - everything works the way it should. So swapping the modules over appears to be the way to go.

It's probably worth swapping the seatbelt pre-tensioners too if the car the seats came from was in an accident.

I remember seeing your post a while back

A custom/homemade setup makes a lot of sense

This place seems to offer a variety of nice looking materials

https://www.customcargrills.com/Custom-Grill-Mesh.asp

However, I'm hoping that the grilles from the M2 CS Racing become available which could be a nice solution for my M2 C

Drove the M2 for the first time in over a week. The dash asked me to drive some more because my battery was low. I was happy to comply.

Having dealt with BMW Motorsports, I can tell you now that it will be a challenge to get those without a huge mark up. When I got the M235iR parts for my race car build, I spent half as much on the parts going directly through Motorsport than through Turner, Bimmerworld, or any other places out there. Those guys mark it up from msrp. Only downside is that Motorsport won't sell to you unless you are a professional race team.

Does that apply to all the BMW Motorsport Centers?

https://www.bmwusa.com/motorsport/centers.html

If so, it may be time to turn pro

Motorsports Centers are supposed to verify that you are a professional level race team. That was the case two years ago. Topp Racing is a professional GT3 Cup race team out of Cresson, TX and is dabbling into BMWs, I suspect that they will be able to get those parts.
