Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I deleted the car from my saved CarPlay list on my phone and started over. It connected immediately with no issues.
Hopefully it reconnect automatically from now on. Side note, I was not aware CarPlay used a WiFi connection as well as Bluetooth . Does that mean when my free trial of the cars WiFi expires that CarPlay won't work unless I subscribe to a data plan for the car?? |

iOS 12 on the iPhone 8 was rock solid on the M2C. Since going to iOS 13 on either the iPhone 8 or 11 Pro (regardless of release) it only works intermittently for the Siri activation on the steering wheel. In essence you hold the button and you see the car logo appear on the phone and immediately disappear. It is like it fails to handshake. Some days it works and others not.
I have tried everything from deleting on both ends, disabling CarPlay, deleting all BT pairings, restoring the phone and whatever I could find on the net. It is definitely a BT issue and very frustrating. Does anyone have any other suggestions. PS a hard boot fixes it for a few days then the problem returns. If I use CarPlay it seems to work ok but I hate CarPlay. Just want to use Siri for calls
