I inquired about individual paint on the M2 CS and, if your paint selection is approved, the price is just about $25K. If you remember, there was an Austin Yellow M2 and a San Marino Blue M2 Competition and I believe the cost of individual paint for each was $24,480. The cost is astronomical because they need to take the car from Leipzig (no individual paint capabilities) to Munich. In Munich, the car needs to be disassembled, painted, reassembled and shipped back to Leipzig. I would have liked Imola Red, but at 25k it was an easy pass. In fact, when Porsche jumped up their PTS price from $5500 all the way to $13k, that pill was already difficult to swallow (and I doubt I'd swallow it again, especially with the typically poor PTS paint jobs, but that's a different topic).

I'd like to see this with black wheels instead, I'd think it would look even better.

Yes, black wheels. But what it's really begging for is a third pedal!

$25k for a color is insane, but then again, that's about the going rate to change colors yourself anyways. Sign me up for a Rossa Corsa Red M2 CS!! Or Enzian blue. That's a dream come true for me since I contemplate wrapping my alpine white M2 either one of those two colors just about every week

VERY cool color!
I would not get it myself, but enjoy looking at it on someone else's ride. As others have commented, black wheels would have been a really good option. The M2CS suffers the same problem as the Competition. . . the fender-to-tire gaps are enormous and need to be addressed. ///AVM |
