300 must be just for fronts. For Porsche applications they are getting $$$. Both the DTC70 and 60 compound dust but I don't think it's corrosive. Not like the old Hawk Blues. I wash my wheels after track use though.

I just ran a track day with Ferodo DS2500 on the front...I am a newbie and it was Thunderhill which is a moderate course in regard to heavy breaking...they held up well to some heavy breaking without any issues. I am leaving them on for street and track as this is my weekend car which I plan on tracking 2-3 times a year.

Several of us with M235i's and the OG M2 have had great success with Powerstop's Z26 street pad. It's very low/zero dust, and works great around town.
I just got back from a trip to Tail of the Dragon where I drove my M235i HARD, and I never experienced fade or low performance from these pads. I have SS lines and good fluid, but they really do feel great around town. I plan to track my car this fall/winter/spring and I will be running a dedicated track pad. But for street use, I just hate noise/dust. These pads seem to be fit the bill, along with not sacrificing much if any on street performance.

EBC Yellowstuff with Castrol SRF Couple of notes: -Go through the proper bed in procedure (very important with these pads, cannot stress that enough) -Drive fast, but don't abuse them on the track, they are an "in-betweener" pad, treat them as so. -Used them with success on the M2, R56 Mini, Cayman S, E92 M3, FR-S, etc. So a pretty wide range of light to heavier cars. I run fast and respectable lap times with these pads, and then drive around town in peace and quiet, love them. IMHO, these pads are highly underrated. Reason, probably because most people drive them on the track like a full race pad, which is something they are not. |

Such thing as a track AND street pad does not exist. However the pad with oem streetability with improved trackability to some degree and less dust do exist somewhere. Otherwise oem should be technically the best balance pad in the industry. How could that be true?
BTW now ambient temp goes slightly below 20C/68F. The MX72 on my car is stock quiet under normal street driving, but when I intentionally heat it up via hard driving (not suitable on street), it squeals again. That is freaking weird, normally pads are noisy when cold. Anyway it will make a good street pad for me in the winter to come. I'll see what to do next year, maybe.

Could be the deposit on rotor so I bedded in again. Vibration was fixed but the noise wasn't. And then I followed up in next few months with more bedding in. Didn't work, noise remains. It's quiet when cold though. It's the only complain at this point I have on my car.

So I had my first track day with the DS2500s at Buttonwilow. They held up pretty well. One surprising thing was that it felt they are actually getting better after the first few runs. I did push the car pretty heavily in the end but this track is no THAT demanding on brakes. Overall good experience.

I loved my ebc yelowstuff for fast road on my previous car but never tracked it.
The hotter they got the better on the road and couldn't be induced to fade like the OEM pads on the car. I'm intrigued when I need pads to fit them to my M2 too. |

You do not even have to take the calipers off. Pop out the 2 pins, remove clip, slide out brake pads (remove sensor on 2 corners). Reverse order to install new pads. |

Any issues with the mixed compound, in terms of brake balance front to rear? I have a track day coming up in December and was thinking DS1.11 pads but I am very interested in your arrangement with DS2500 in rear.

After 4 track days, the pad wear between front and rear is pretty much identical. Also, since the 2500s and 1.11s share the same compound, you can switch between them without having to rebed the pads everytime. This is a pretty nice perk if you plan to run 2500s on the street. |
