Oil Suggestions for 2018 M2 N55

For all my CA boyz.. What oil you guys using? Im planning to change my oil every 5k miles. Do you guys switch oil every summer/winter? My car stock By the way.

I used Liqui Moly on my last oil change. Probably switching to Pennzoil euro platinum on the next.

Why do you use 5W-40 oil instead of the recommended 0W-30?

Free maintenance ended about 2 years ago for mine. In my current climate the higher weight makes sense especially I track from time to time.
