Pretty depressing really...but I don't expect much anyway out of the modern "enthusiast" any more.

Alpine is nr 1. Tossable, light, fun. Simple, no complex electronics etc.
GT3 short of useable torque combine with those overdimensional grippy tyres, Pista way too much. Pista for me. Aston with it's FR layout and luxurious things still is a great entertainer. I speak German so I translated it roughly: M2C. The Competition name isn't what the car is(like GT3RS model is the sporty one), they should have named it M2 'Fun Car' or something like that. M2C is a bit joking with driving dyamics. But BMW historically traditionally stood for the classical sliding tailhappy car anyway. And that direction M2C is going as well, easily controllable but with some loss of performance handling because then M2C gets a bit too wild... This is a nice example of the handling theme. Handling doesn't equal performance. There are different ways to interpret handling. We as sportauto always want to see what the car at its limits in terms of handling will do and at that point M2C is a bit more difficult(oversteery shot) beacaus it oversteers heavily and almost always. but when you get below that limit and we're talking B roads or trackdays without real interest in the best laptimes, then it's another story: Then there is 'no' car atm which is so active, lively, easily going sideways. But it's not about the oversteer, it's the way the car moves. No understeer whatsoever. Sener(long hair): Very broad /wide limit. When you want to be fast you have to be on top or over that limit. Driving ideal lines, you're too slow anyway in this car. At the limit easlily oversteery and easily in what angle you want it to do so. Like dancing from one turn to the other, you can control it. GREAT FUN. Sener: Incredible in our times with adjustable nanies, electronic TC systems, adjustable awd etc. BMW engineers had relatively not much room for playing with what a car needs to have(looking at all the safety/environmental things that govern us atm) so in that case, but they still did it and this BMW is ' The Classic' Cheers Robin |

All beautiful cars, each with its qualities, but i can't stop dreaming about the GT3 RS, the greatest car on the market atm to me, I'm italian but I would never prefer a Ferrari or a Lamborghini to a Porsche GTx, they're absolutely stunning

Cayman GT4. is fantastic. GT3(RS)/GT2RS: Stunning. Excellent. But at the end of the day: 812 Superfast and 488 Pista. I'm a Ferrarista (and Lancia freak) since childhood.... Cheers Robin |
