to this day, i still think that the $20-30k price difference between the CS over the comp is worth every penny. The longer i stare at mine, the more easter eggs i find.

Still probably one of the best sub 100k cars you can find out there, even if it is 2-3yrs old. I just can't fathom paying $120k+ for a M3/4 CS. 444hp is plenty fun.

I share your feelings 100% as I had both. There are just some intangibles that only a small population of enthusiasts can justify. I had a modded 135i in 2009 and when the 2011 1M came around I wanted it very badly. I had the chance to get one back then, but my financial responsibilities dictated the household cease and desist. Looking back I should have pulled the trigger... When considering the M2cs, similar feelings came back and did not want to let to opportunity go. My car is modded to my liking and is ferocious now.

BTW, the comp is awesome, and would likely had been as fun to drive at this stage in my ownership. Modded of course...

Didn't realize this thread I made before I got my CS got so much activity!

Hi there! I did sell my CS like late 2021. Basically drove the car for "free" for a year. I do miss the simplicity of the car in terms of gadgets and the rareness of it. The overall design of it with the hood/roof, etc. I don't regret selling mine per say, but do wish I had one in the garage with the m3

I love the interior . So simple , plain , timeless. The Merino Leather used for the CS seats is so much better than the dakota leather i had on my previous M2. But yes the use of alcantara and carbon fiber with the Fire Red stiching is perfection ! What more you need ?

Absolutely! Yes you can get an M2C and swap everything out to make the car as closed to a M2CS. However, to me is not worth the money nor the time to find all of that sort and making sure everything is good. I might be little different from others but I rather buy an M2CS then buy M2C and do the upgrades.

Think of it like E92M3 for the longest time, I keep finding 2008/2012/2008, and that’s a no for me. I’m looking for 2013 M3, because it’s ZCP and have all of the factory improvements, so I don’t have to worry about doing anything else

I was offered more by a Porsche dealer and have a 1,000 miles more, but also declined. They were open to increase the trade in value since I was buying a new manual 911T.

Just remember something's value is what it sells for not what it's listed for.

Manual cars:
Average asking price of manual cars on cars.com: $101k
Average sale price of manual cars (2023 sales) on both Cars and Bids and Bring a Trailer: $88k

DCT cars:
Average asking price of DCT cars on cars.com: $98k
Average sale price of DCT cars on both Cars and Bids and Bring a Trailer: insufficient data (we could perhaps extrapolate $85k)

I check cars.com several times a week and there's not much movement of the CS inventory, particularly among the higher priced cars. Figure a dealer offers $80k on trade, lists for ~$95k, and sells for ~$88k, probably right in line with where the market is now.

Are you adding buyer fees on top of those auction site prices?

Speaking of seats, has anyone noticed if their passenger seat rubs against the cf center console? This might be limited to LHD cars. When it's just me in the car, there's no noise. When I have a front passenger and take right turns with decent force, the passenger seat will move ever so slightly to the left and usually rub and make a squeaking noise

Def subjective, but I remember saying "No way I get a Comp with this interior."
I actually rather the dakota leather. I do prefer the cut out IMO. I wish i could get my hands on CS seats in my Comp IMO thats the only thing I like about the CS.

Put a fart cushion under him; it'll block the seat noise quickly
