Interesting. This thread took on a life of its own since I started it.

Too bad the exhaust still isn't available for you guys. I sure liked it from what I saw in the original video I posted, and like it in the recent videos posted of it. I have the MPE on my OG M2, and would probably go with Dinan if I had to do it over again. I like the MPE, but the Dinan exhaust seems like it will be less complicated to deal with in the long run.

I also like the cleaner look of the Dinan exhaust, and the larger exhaust tips/finishers (On M2 and M2C).

Looks really good! Per the pictures, it appears that Dinan finally made it where the Tips don't hang too low like they did on the OG M2.

That too bad it still hangs low for OG M2. It hung low on my M235i and I ended up modifying it with some aftermarket hangers to make it sit more horizontal.

A lot of us have been waiting for their next batch to ship. They have been on backorder Since the first batch in June

Yea. Initially orders were supposed to ship the first week of August, but a delay pushed it to the 3rd week of August. Hopefully they purchased more material for this second run since the demand was higher than expected I think. They might have additional stock ready to ship later this month as well Dinan_Engineering .

It's not demand issue but more of a business issue to me. I am still waiting for mine since June and the local dealer Dinan dealer kinda gave up hope and offered to refund my deposit.

I agree that overall this delay sucks, but other exhaust companies have issues too. I waited 40~ days before Active Autowerke was able to ship my exhaust due to a supply delay for their valves in 2018.

Dinan also posted that it was supply+demand. There could be other internal factors but this has been a rough year for everyone regarding supplies and manufacturing

Long-time Dinan customer here.

Upon news that your free-flow exhaust was finally released, in June, I was told it would arrive late, on August 3rd. On August 3rd, Dinan promised it would arrive between Aug 17-21. Today (Aug 20th), I'm told that not only has the product not been shipped yet, it hasn't even hit production. New date (without guarantees): Sept 17th.

Your unending development and production delays, and your never-ending list of excuses are unfortunate -- though understandable. Lying to your customers, stringing them along, and wasting their time is unacceptable.

If I ran my business like you run yours, I wouldn't be able to afford one of your expensive metal tubes, in the first place.

Make this right, Dinan.
