Did you get anywhere with this? Trying to remove ghas on a m5 f10, and has tried 99% of relevant coding options.
Having dsc warning light in kombi, and "rear diff failure" in i-drive.

Just random thoughts, but what happens if you delete the entire GHAS ecu node in the ncd and just code the car?

Unfortunately...The DSC module still looks for the GHAS module through the gateway regardless of deleting it from the SVT tree.

Just to update everyone:

This looks like a software programming to the DSC and FDL coding to the ICM & Kombi to remove the faults on the dash, the vehicles are untested from that point though so its unknown if the DSC works as it should.

After many hours combing through different DSC, ICM & Kombi modules, I can not seem to find anything that keeps the DSC from faulting other than reprogramming the DSC module with software that doesn't have the GHAS in the index of the software and then FDL coding the DSC to still operate in the M models.

I have multiple FA's, SVT's and CAFD's if anyone wants to chime in and compare standard to modified files.

Based on this FB comments section it looks like they can do what you are after. Saw it and remembered this post. Hope it helps finding someone that can assist.

So, I'm Currently working on a friends 2018 F82 M4 CS and the differential has been upgraded to a Drexler LSD.

Here's where the fun begins... It no longer utilises or uses the servo motor which was apart of the original differential, now with a blanking plate installed which means that obviously there is no where for it to go.

Anyway... this means the car needs specific coding or a flash for it to work without error in the GHAS or DSC. If I disconnect the GHAS the car should drive with minimal issue and I only get a DSC/ABS Error for communication with GHAS as a fault code.

GHAS connected and the car has fault codes for servo motor errors and communication, which is then also in the DSC.

However, the car in drive mode and reverse will barely move a couple of inches under its own power, even with the servo plugged in. (DCT)

An honestly is sounds like the differential build has been messed up because the right rear wheel spins off the floor on a lift but the left one doesn't at all, along with a grinding noise from the right as if the diff isn't built properly.

Does anyone know if this is normal or am I doing something fundamentally wrong here because as far as I'm aware, the car should still drive with the GHAS disconnected?

Does anyone know the coding/flash data required for this and can they point me in the right direction please?
Ring Team Schirmer in Germany they fit these in their sleep.

Get esysx and latest psdz, the correct data mapping will then be applied then you can disable GHAS via FDL on DSC module.

I have all of the above and there is no reference in the DSC to change or remove the GHAS monitoring.

Can you elaborate a little more on this please?

Don't know if you're still having this issue.

We installed a Drexler diff on a customer's F82. After a lot of back and forth with the suppliers oner 6 month's. A coder in the UK sorted it in under 30 mins.

Here's his page
