Is Anyone Else Planning Performance Center Delivery?

I am planning to take Delivery at the BMW Performance Center in South Carolina on launch date in April. I have a week 15 build(HEA/Launch car) speced as LBB,Exec Package and 6 Speed Manual

I did PCD on a 1M Coupe in 2011. Totally awesome experience!

Anyone else here planning? Would be nice to have a Bimmerpost group delivery

I just got my production number also for an HEA. I too would like to meet you there. I just dropped a note to my CA to make it be. I won't be surprised if they say no go because it's their first. Is your delivery there confirmed? I expect we won't know for sure until we see the order in the system updated accordingly. My M is bsm with DCT.

I don't have a confirmation on a delivery date. From what I understand the "on sale" release date is in the middle of April. I'm requesting that date.

I was hoping that the California PDC would be open in time but probably won't be. I will just pick mine up at the dealer and plan on the 2 day M School after delivery. I would love to do Euro Delivery but the wife is starting her residency about the time I expect my car.

if I can work the vacation days, I am doing ED and PCD.

I'm just hoping I can put 1200 miles on ED so I can get the break-in service before my 600 mile journey home from PCD thru rural mountainous NC, Tenn and Kentucky. vroom vroom

having to baby the car won't be a lot of fun

I did both on my 1M in 2011. ED on June 11th, PCD on August 11th. PCD after ED takes about 3 weeks longer to get your car redelivered. I went thru Tennessee/Tail of the Dragon on the way back to Houston

Just got off the phone with my ca. He sent me the paperwork for delivery at the performance center. My car just went from status 111 to 112 and has a 'final' sop of week 7. He told me that that date could change though but given that it just went to 112 status it was probably pretty close. The perf data center paperwork says to expect 8 weeks from end of production. Anyone on roughly the same timeline?

This is the typical timeline. I believe 6 weeks is standard delivery time on the east coast - the 2 week delta is for PCD to schedule your delivery at their location.

Interesting. I wonder if they allocated enough cars for the PCD. Conisidering the shortage and all.

Is it confirmed that the M2 will be a fleet car at the PC?

I havent seen anything on it yet, but I know at the PCD, you traditionally drive the same model you're picking up. I would not be surprised though if they used the M4 or M235i (more understandable if they even have them there) in the meantime.

I remember seeing a post that there were M2s there. We need Donnie(willwin2day) to chime in. He is an instructor there, plus he has an M2 on order I believe.

My order is at 112 status and my dealer needed my performance center paperwork today to make sure I get to take delivery there. Just waiting for production to start. Current sop estimate in the system is week 7. Add 1 week for production and maximum 8 weeks to performance center per the performance center paperwork that I just signed and I'm at week 16 for pickup. 1000 mile break in to drive it back home and I'm ready for the track in mid April!

I'm also doing the performance delivery but its only thirty miles over the state line from my home. Still get the Hilton visit and dinner for two night before. They do have M2's there. I have a friend who is a consultant tech and has already driven the M2 there and told me he prefers the DCT but its personal choice...
Excellent roads on BR parkway, and Old Hwy. 225 from Greenville to Hendersonville, NC. Anyone need support for the area, PM me...

Are you in the Chicagoland area by chance?

My CA has to get approval from the "Market Manager" do to PCD, but I gave my three dates which will be all Thursdays. My car is to go into production Week 7 (Next Week) and I am hoping for a delivery date of 4/21, 4/28, or 5/5 at the Performance Center. I really hope this works out for me as I have a good friend who is willing to drive down (In his E46 M3) and he will get to participate in all the fun. I want to get a full front Xpel wrap done the next day in Greenville, but I may have to wrap my front in blue painters tape. Additionally, we plan to do Tail of the Dragon/Blue Ridge Parkway on the way home as we both live in PA. There is a possibility of us doing some Karting around VIR too!

Got a call yesterday from my CA and said that PCD was an option. I ordered a launch car and wasn't sure if a PCD was possible, but it is. The launch car will go straight to the performance center. He said that he had no timeframe of when it would be available, but at this point in time he is going to put in a reservation. LBB, 6spd, Exec. Last time I checked status is 155. Looking forward to the experience it will be my first time visiting!

I'm planning it, my dealer has no issue with it. My CA said they are booked through May 6. I'm trying to lock in mid-may. Should know for sure tomorrow.

I had to fill out paperwork for the pcd delivery. You may want to check with your dealer to confirm all is good. Status 155 means the car is built so the destination needs to be locked down. The paperwork I filled out said to expect nominally 8 weeks from completion of production. Exact date tbd but that was a ballpark.

Maybe I'll see you there. My car is also scheduled for week 7 which technically is now. I checked 'my bmw' though and it is not yet in production.
